I've tried several cleanser and didn't expect this one to be gentle since it had so many chemicals, but it is. However, it lathers so well, it really can't be washed off, and I have hard water (SE US). Nonetheless, it's not irritating so it takes the prize. Sorry to say, this is true in this case. I used to use the Oil of Olay Body Wash, pre-new and improved. It was the greatest stuff ever! Before using it, I'd always had bumps on my arm (from a number of body washes, and good old Ivory Soap as a kid). Upon using it, they went away, and my skin was soooo soft (got many comments on it). Now...not so much. This new version doesn't smell ANYTHING like the old stuff (in fact, it smells pretty gross, I don't know who worked on the "new and improved" scent, but they should be fired). Second of all, it takes more than before (maybe they watered it down?). Finally, bumps are back. Need I say more? Such a disappointment, particularly since the "old and needs improvement" version was soooo fantastic. Best Uses Comments about Olay Body Wash, Age Defying, 23.6 fl oz: Lately, I've been leaning towards natural or "green" products, but the description on this Olay age-defying body wash caught my eye. I've been very satisfied with the effectiveness as a body wash and moisturizer. However, I find the scent very strong. It's not an unpleasant smell, but as one used to low- or no-fragrance products, the perfume of this product is quite strong and lasts for quite awhile out of the shower. I have been using it for a couple weeks now. There was a little more frangrance than I normally like, but I got used to it rather quickly. I will now be purchasing this product instead of the Dove! It seems to moisurize better, and it makes much more lather; I use MUCH less product so I am saving money!
