I live in Singapore where it is very hot and humid. Within 5 minutes of being outside this make up melts off of your face. I have never experienced this with other make up products. And I am a huge Olay product user!

I really did not like this product. I am light skinned and it turns out very pink/ orange. it also felt very greasy and looked very shiny.

I am fair skinned and tried the fair to light shade. It looks ok at first but quickly oxidizes to an orangey shade. Also stings the skin around my eyes as with every Olay product I have tried.

BB creams are all the rage right now, and when Olay came out with one, I thought I'd give it a go. But, I have to admit, I don't really get the purpose of this product. I think my skin looks a little more dewy, but this cream gives zero coverage. I still have to apply liquid foundation to my problem areas. I am of Irish descent and pale, but the Fair to Light seems a little too light for me (I read another review for Light to Medium, which said it was quite pink, that may actually work better for me).
There is a very strong, perfume-y scent which is a little overwhelming at first, but I got used to it quickly, and it no longer bothers me.
I have been attempting to get away from foundation, and thought this would be a great 1-step solution. I have yet to use it instead of my moisturizer, which may be the purpose. I was hoping to take it on a trip, instead of taking separate moisturizer and foundation.
Because I already use and love Olay moisturizer, I will continue to use this BB cream until it's gone. Maybe after a couple months, I will see significant changes in the texture or appearance of my skin.
I apologize if this review does not help you to decide whether you should try this product for yourself, but I can't really say anything too positive or too negative about the product.

BB Creams are my latest obsession (check out my other reviews to see the various products I've tried), so of course I had to buy the Olay version when I saw it here on drugstore.com!

When I saw how light the color was out of the tube, and how sheer it appeared on my skin at first, I was disappointed. But after a few minutes it "set" and actually provided moderate coverage, comparable to L'Oreal Youth Code BB Cream (another one of my favorites). While I do not find Youth Code to be overly greasy, I've noticed that my skin is less shiny when using Olay.

After experimenting with several brands, I have come to the conclusion that it may be beneficial to have 2-3 different products on hand and alternate depending upon the occasion, the condition of my complexion (I have oily skin and am prone to blemishes), the time of day, etc. That being said, here's my revised list of the BB Creams I've tried, in the order of my preference:

1. L'Oreal Magic BB Cream - A bit more opaque than other BB Creams, provides coverage that is comparable to a foundation, yet fairly natural looking. I use it for special occasions and evenings out. Very luminous, makes my skin incredibly smooth and matte, and it photographs like a dream. Love it!

2. Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream - Lighter than the L'Oreal Magic, but still provides good moderate coverage. Great for daily use (going to work, meeting with friends, etc.) or when I don't feel like using a heavier base. The scent is light and pleasant.

3. L'Oreal Youth Code BB Cream - Comparable to the Olay BB Cream. Nice mild fragrance and moderate coverage.

4. CoverGirl BB Cream / Maybelline BB Cream - Light coverage. I will use one of these during an "off" day, running errands, hanging out at home, etc. These less-expensive substitutes help me conserve the pricier products.

5. Garnier BB Cream - VERY greasy; just sat there on my skin like a hot, shiny mess. Did not care for it at all!

*** Bottom line: Olay Fresh Effects is my new favorite BB Cream for daily use! ***

I have tried or own about 10 BB and TM creams. I like the texture and lightness of the Olay the best. While pink (for very light skin) it blends in, goes on super smooth, very light pigment, and gives my skin some brightness without looking like make up.

My issue is THE SMELL. It is a light cucumber, not so offensive at first. I noticed it and thought it would soon go away.

Now an hour later, I am just choking on the smell. I prefer no perfume to my make up or skin care, light that goes away is fine.

This just doesn't seem to be going away and I feel like I have a halo of perfume around my head

Too bad, as I really like the texture tube consistency and way it looks on my skin, but I can't breath !

This smells really good; the smell lasts a while though and you can still smell it long after application

It is lightweight and applies sheer. Not much color at all. The fair to light color is very pinkish, for porcelain skin.

I doubt it would work well if you have yellow undertones.

Happy to find it and the price is right. It feels and works better than the LM (too thick; wrong color), and many others I have tried that are really grey ish (Asian Brands), or muddy yellow (theBalm and Bobbi Brown).

The tint is a barely there color so don't expect much coverage.

Wish it had a higher SPF as 15 is not that high a number. I will still need to wear a good SPF under this balm a step I was hoping to eliminate.

I love this BB cream because it is very light, and smells great. Cant beat the price either. This is a great product to use after moisturizing in the morning.

I LOVE this BB cream. It is actually the first BB cream i've used before, but it is really great.

It smells delicious, glides on smoothly, gives your skin a more even tone, is a very "light" moisturizer so can be used by itself or with your daily moisturizer, and is SPF15, too.

I will definitely be getting this product again. Definitely a fan!
