I started using these last summer when I had shoulder surgery and could only clean my face with one hand and they worked great. Then I started using them at night when I was tired and didn't want to spend extra time with water and cleansers taking off makeup, including eye makeup. These are fast and very effective, and my skin always looks nice in the morning. I'm sold, and keep buying them. BTW I also tried the Olay Total Effects wet clothes and then compared the ingredients and they were identical, it's just that this cloth has a woven pattern on one side that lets you achieve a little more "scrubbing/dermabrasion" effect, if you want it.

Due to health issues, I like keeping face wipes by my chair, in case I feel ill & don't feel like going to bathroom to do a prolonged skin care routine. I try to buy face wipes that do not have a strong perfume scent, which these didn't seem to. I purchased this, without reading ALL of the ingredients - (big mistake). After 1 use, I noticed that my skin felt slightly irritated. I thought maybe it was just irritated because of dry brushing & then immediately wiping my face. I decided not to dry brush my face, for a few days, to see if the irritation would get better. By the 2nd day, I had a few red bumps on my face. I thought it was strange that I was breaking out, which I rarely do. I thought I'd give it a few more days & the bumps would be gone. Another mistake. By the 4th day, it was obvious that it wasn't the result of dry brushing, but something with the wipes. I had small, painful red bumps all over my face. It was then, that I checked the ingredients & noticed that it had Niacinamide (Niacin) in it. You guessed it, I'm allergic to Niacin. So, I gave the rest of the wipes to my daughter in law. She is very active & likes them for when she is on the run & needs a quick face wash. She has had absolutely no problems with them.

I contacted Olay to see why Niacin would be used in a facial cleansing cloth, as I had never heard of this as an ingredient in any of the face products I had used before. Even though they weren't helpful at explaining why, they were very nice & informed me that they do have a facial wipe that is unscented & does not have Niacin in it. They even sent me a coupon towards it's purchase. I haven't been able to find that product locally or on the Drugstore website. As soon as I do, I will try those, as I have other Regenerist products, that I've have no problem with & absolutely love. I just have to be more cautious, in the future & that I check to make sure any products I purchase, doesn't have Niacinamide (Niacin) in them.

To alleviate my painful face, I decided to make a homemade face wipe & homemade toner. I can keep both by my chair, for those days when I'm not feeling well & don't feel like spending 1/2 hour to 45 minutes in the bathroom. Can't give up beauty, just because I don't feel well, right? It is probably one of the best facial wipes I have ever used. I couldn't believe that I could make a homemade facial wipe & toner that actually made my skin feel soft, while easing the discomfort of the allergic reaction. After about 10 days, my skin was healed & was so soft, that I continued to use my homemade formula, but only on the days I don't feel up to doing my normal routine. I do plan on continuing my search for the unscented Regenerist facial wipes without Niacin.

I wouldn't recommend this product to someone with a known sensitivity/allergy to Niacin. Or for those who have found it bothered their skin, you might also consider a sensitivity to 1 or more of the ingredients. But, if you have no allergies to Niacin, then for a quick face wash or on those occasions you are just too tired to do the full routine, I think you will find these satisfactory.

        Not moist enough, strong fragrance

Comments about Olay Regenerist Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths, 30 cloths:

I use cleansing cloths instead of soap (or cleanser) and water because they're convenient and less drying. I've tried a few brands (Biore, Basis, Pond's) and so far the Olay cloths are the least drying. I don't wear make up that often, but I've found that these cloths are better at removing waterproof mascara than they are at removing water soluble mascara. If you use water soluble mascara you have to close your eyes, hold the cloth on your eye for a bit then wipe under the eye, and repeat. Kind of a pain but not a big deal for me because I wear mascara maybe once a month. I used to use the Sensitive/unscented cloths, and I liked them a lot, but I switched to the micro-exfoliating cloths because they contain niacinamide, a proven wrinkle fighter. I also tried the Olay "Total Effects" cloths in the hopes that the fragrance would be less offensive, but it was just as bad and the cloth felt too soft (I like a cloth that has a little texture and isn't cottony soft.) When I switched back to these I found they'd been changed to a very soft cloth, and are about half as moist. I have to rub hard and they don't clean as well. I've been adding a little water to make them usable. But now the main problem for me is that I'm trying to avoid unnecessary toxins, and most fragrances have phthalates so these probably do, too. From webmd, "Several studies -- both in animals and humans -- have found that phthalates might have some effects on hormones." (A correlation between phthalate levels during pregnancy and "less masculine" play behavior of the boy children from those pregnancies.) So I hate the smell, AND it's probably unhealthful too. I use Cerave lotion PM for niacinamide now (it's great), and I'm looking for a better cloth. I might go back to Dove soap and water (recommended by a dermatologist) or experiment with making my own cloth.

I probably question the exfoliating capabilities but these do a great job of avoiding any rubbing and gently removing eye makeup.

Unfortunately, these wipes irritate the heck out of my eyes when trying to remove eye makeup - the only brand I've found that doesn't do that is Ponds wipes. I'm kind of surprised that such a well known brand would have a product that is so irritating to the eyes, but may it's just me - I see other positive reviews on here so maybe it just depends on the person. Oh well.

These wipes are gentle without any big odors. They gently exfoliate and I use them twice per day. After using the wipes I apply a toner using a cotton ball. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I still see a slight bit of makeup on the cotton ball after using the wipes. I use the back and front of the wipe and really wipe down my face so I know I'm being thorough with it. Other than that, it does a great job of exfoliating and feels refreshing.

THESE CLEANING CLOTHS ARE GREAT! THEY REMOVE ANY RESIDUAL MAKEUP THAT'S LEFT BEHIND AFTER WASHING MY FACE. MOST OF THE TIMES I USE THEM TO REMOVE ALL THE MAKEUP AND DIRT FROM MY FACE, AND THEY DO A FANTASTIC JOB. MY FACE FEELS CLEAN AND SMOOTH. DON'T THINK THEY EXFOLIATE AS THE NAME IMPLIES (MICRO EXFOLIATING) SINCE THEY ARE GENTLE.
