This is our son's favorite deodorant. He wears a lot of dark shirts and t-shirts; he's found that other antiperspirants leave white blotches on the inside of the garments which, if not treated each time they are washed, end up showing on the exterior as well - making the shirt unusable. This product doesn't do that while still offering great protection and a really nice scent.

I switched to Old Spice Red Zone Soft Solid and the difference protection-wise was much better. I became a fan of Old Spice deodorants after having family ask me why I smell so good. They're great!
I highly recommend you get the Old Spice bar soap or body wash of the same scent. The ladies in your life are going to love it. Guaranteed.
The Clear Gel version is a fine product but the scent/fragrance isn't as long lasting compared to the Soft Solid. You may prefer to wear cologne and not have your deodorant conflict with that. The smell of Old Spice is a strong selling point for me so I prefer Soft Solid to the Clear Gel even though I have to be careful about it leaving white marks on shirts.
The usual cons of clear gel deodorants still exist (letting the gel dry so it can work more effectively), but if you abhor the white marks deodorant can leave on clothes, prefer applying gel, and want your deodorant to smell great without others smelling it, Clear Gel is the way to go.
