Just had back surgery a few weeks ago and really wanted to track my walking because it's the only exercise I can do right now. I was very skeptical so I read many reviews all over the web for several brands/models. Decided on Omron and so glad I did. Easy setup had my son get the tape measure went out to the driveway and walked 3 times and took an average of my steps. Super easy to enter the initial data. Clip stays put on my elastic waist stretchy pants. I'm a little chubby with a few tummy rolls and was afraid it wouldn't lay right but it's been wonderful. Haven't tried it in my purse yet but will do that also and I think it will work well. Easy to upload data with included software and cable. So motivating to see my results! I usually push myself a little farther on my daily walks - every step counts! If you are a walker or want to be this is a fabulous reasonably priced piece of exercise equipment. I have moved it from my waist to my foot and it worked a bit better, but I was disappointed that it was not very accurate for me. I try to walk a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. I have emailed OMRON asking for a software update so it will work on my computer. Hopefully they will have one but, if I had a duck it would drown, so I doubt they will have one. How can they be selling this product in 2011 and it doesn't work with Windows 7 is beyond me.

I had to replace it when it fell off my belt and got shut in the door of my car. I bought a replacement and used it regularly. I stopped using it when it fell off my belt and got lost. This pattern show the issue I have with the unit. The belt clip needs to be redesigned with a longer clip. A coworker bought a unit on my recommendation and loves hers. She wears it in her pocket but that is not an option for me. I do plan to purchase one more, but will modify the clip.

My husband expressed an interest in using one, so I purchased one for him. We now can work together to become more aware of our activity level on a daily basis.

It is easy to use, can be worn in your pocket and resets itself each night. I am on my second one, only because I dropped the first one and ruined the display.

They said, "Once you use this one, there will be no others!" They were right. No longer does my pedometer accrue steps when I'm riding in my car or other non-movement activities. Being able to save the data on my computer and review my activity for a day, a week, a month, or for the whole year is awesome. This is, indeed, the best pedometer for a reasonable price out there. And drugstore.com had the best price!

I have since switched to Pilates, but still wear my pedometer in my pocket every day to record my steps. The goal is 10,000 steps daily. I love the software that comes with this. I download the readings, number of steps, aerobic steps, calories and grams of fat burned, and distance traveled, into the software and can view my progress daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. I can combine these reports with my downloaded blood pressure readings with my BP cuff from the same company. I showed the pedometer to a couple of my friends, who asked me for details about it so they could get a couple. So I sent them two for Christmas!

I have tried a variety of different styles, including a watch style, and none of them have been as accurate as this pedometer. I love the ability to upload the pedometer data to my PC in order to track my progress. This is a real time saver in a busy schedule as I have always liked to be able to track my progress towards my goal (increasing my steps in order to improve health and weight management) and now I don't have to find my own manual way of doing that. The clip is sturdy and secure although it could be a little more compact. All in all though a great buy!!
