The first time I took this Vitamin right before my dinner, I felt good and didn't feel nausea or sick. The next morning, I tried after breakfast (light breakfast), I felt nausea within 1 hour. Now, I tried to take my Folic Acid in the morning, in the night 5 minutes before dinner, I will take this Prenatal Vitamin with Fish Oil. I feel good with it. This Prenatal Vitamin was recommended by Pharmacist. She said latest Prenatal Vitamin usually will have fish oil b/c it' better combination for pregnancy women. Since my insurance doesn't cover any prescribed Prenatal Vitamins, I will continue to buy it until my baby is born. For all women out there and soon to be mom, I will recommend you bring Prenatal Vitamin to your Ob/Gyn and ask them to see if it's enough for you.

I tried taking these towards the end of my first trimester after having no problems taking a standard prenatal with no liquigel DHA supplement. I found the DHA pill large has a definite taste to it. Within 2 days of changing to these, my previously subsiding morning sickness was back with a vengeance and it usually happened within 30 mins of taking these vitamins. After day 6, when the vomiting got really violent, I gave up, went back to my former prenatals and was fine. I do want the benefits of the DHA, though, so I am now (midway in trimester 2) taking another shot at using these. Still tough to swallow strictly due to size, not coating, and I'd say if you have an active gag reflex or trouble with pills, this will be a challenge. If it's still tough, I may start taking at night, as stated. Seems like taking with food doesn't help much. If I start vomiting again, I'm no longer using these, period.

The omega three pill is big, but has a pleasant taste and smell. These pills did not make me throw up or nauseas at all and I have a sensitive stomach in the morning.

          Great Prenatal Vitamin

Comments about One A Day Prenatal Multivitamin with DHA, 30 ea:

So far I am very satisfied with this prenatal vitamin and happy that it has the folic acid/omega 3 oils needed to promote healthy growth. As far as things such a being hard to swallow and projectile vomiting I think that has more to do with the sensitivities of the person taking the vitamin and not the vitamin itself. There are two pills...the hard one is the same normal size as any other vitamin and the soft one is slightly larger but soft so not difficult to swallow. I've been taking vitamins everyday for at least 10 yrs (women's regular one a day) so I didn't find it difficult making the switch to the these or difficult to swallow at all. Maybe if this was someone's first time taking any vitamin they might think it was hard to swallow. I've never gotten sick or nauseated from taking this vitamin (or any) as long as you remember to take it with food. The only drawback with this vitamin is you may taste a somewhat fishy flavor when you burp afterwards. This happens whenever you take fish oil (the source of the good fatty acids) so it really isn't something that can be helped. A small price for a healthy child.

I got these prenatals as I am currently trying to have a baby. After tryiing for the past 5 months and every month the sticks saying NO, I will try anything and buy anything!I bought these pills and started taking them on Saturday, and about 15 minutes later I was barfing up my tuna salad sandwich. Yeah, that was wonderful. I have since took this prenatal before bed which seems to be better but I have waken up in the middle of the night feeling very icky. I have never thrown up like that so I instantly got my hopes up thinking I was pregnant. As I read others reviews, I'm not the only one! How disapointing for me to think I was pregnant, getting my hopes up only to find it was just this stupid pill. And besides, the generic[...] brand prenatals work better and dont make you sick. They have the same vitamin count and everything. Sometimes paying more is actually less.

I'm using this as a Prenatal Vitamin while trying to concieve. Previously, I was talking a women's ultra mega vitamin, which was great compared to this one! The biggest downfall for me with this product is keeping it down! The first day I took it in the morning, WITH FOOD. The pills were easy to swallow, but I became very nauseated and began projectile vomiting within 30 minutes! I have NEVER had any trouble with vitamins upseting my stomach until now. I took a couple of days off from this vitamin, and now I've found that taking at night before bed, about 1 hour after eating last helps it stay down, but I still get nauseated. I'm planning to stick it out for the month with the one a day, but I don't know that I'll buy this product again.

I have been using these prenatal vitamins daily for about 3 weeks, and I have found that my nails are growing very strong and shiny. I took note of the vitamin amounts when purchasing this product and found that it fulfills all of the requirements and is very much a complete vitamin. I also like the fact that a liqui-gel is used to distribute Omega-3 acids. The regular vitamin, in my opinion, is average in size. The liqui-gel is bigger, but since it is a liqui-gel, I do not find it difficult to swallow.

I now have a OTC prenatal vitamin recommendation for my patients. This brand has been easy on my stomach, non-constipating and easy to swallow. Love the 2 pills a day dosing vs the 6 pills a day I was choking down. I always recommend a DHA supplement to my pregnant patients and this one has a pleasant vanilla scent rather than the fishy odor of some. A great choice!
