You're supposed to take it with food, and I've heard that vitamins are most effective if you take them with your biggest meal of the day. For me, that's dinner. If you are throwing up from it, try taking it with a bigger meal. Or maybe try reading the bottle. Are you allergic to anything in it? Don't assume it won't cause a reaction just because it's a vitamin. The person that got the hives probably had good reason to discontinue use. I tried taking One-A-Day WOMEN'S, and that caused major nausea, even after taking it for several days. So I stopped for the longest time, and found this teen version. Decided to try since I'm not even 20 yet, and thought the teen version would be less potent. Tried the first day, felt some slight nausea. Second day, I felt even worse, even close to vomiting. I think my best bet is to take their chewable vitamins. REVIEWS Reviewed by 28 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros

Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: I really like these vitamins. The biotin in them has helped my nails grow longer and I have noticed my skin looking a little better. Granted they won't cure acne problems but it does help a little. My only complaint is that the pills are large. Pros

Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: Great to ensure your daughter gets a good vitamin start to her day. Easy to take and works like the rest of the One-A-Day brand vitamins do except this one is geared for pre-teens/teens Pros

Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: Teen granddaughter was breaking out and her hair texture was poor. These were recommended at the pharmacy we go to. She is on her second bottle and skin and hair are lovely. She used these in conjuncton with diet and exercise changes as well. She attends college and works with a very busy schedule, sometimes not sufficient rest, so she benefits from the boost to her immune system as well. Pros

Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: I started taking these about a month ago because I was tired of taking individual vitamins (one vitamin B a day etc) and needed the benefits. The vitamins are a pink color and smell like cupcakes. They aren't small pills, but they aren't huge. To me anyway, they are considerably easy to swallow if you take it with a big drink of water, milk, or juice. You barely feel it go down if you have enough liquid in your mouth. No need to cut them up. There are much larger pills out there. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: Our pre-teen daughter's doctor recommended to start her on these. However, they are "horse size pills." She could not swallow them. Tried crushing them up and both she and my wife said they tasted horrible. Tried in juice and yogurt both and nothing worked. Pros

Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: I am 18 and use this product daily.Be prepared to cut your nails once a week and get more haircuts! The biotin in this definitely does its job and because it is combined with zinc doesn't increase breakouts. One-a-Day is clearly trying to market this to teens as a product that clears skin - don't be duped! All multi-vitamins support skin health and just taking a multi-vitamin won't clear up your acne. I have never EVER had a problem swallowing pills, but these can sometimes be a challenge. They aren't GIANT horse pills, but do have a weird texture/flavor and are large. Overall a great multi-vitamin! It has more vitamin C,D,B1&B2,B12 and pantothenic acid as well as more magnesium than the Women's Formula One-a-Day pills. Great for teens! Pros

Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: I recommend taking these with hot water or cranberry juice. The hot water will warm up your stomach and help the vitamin break down more. Cranberry juice is just as effective if you don't want to drink hot water, because the acidity will definitely help with digesting the vitamin. I find that taking these on a full stomach will help the vitamin absorb better. These are better than gummy vitamins and actually made my skin clearer (I am a teen with hormonal break outs). Very cheap for 80 pills. I used to buy these organic vitamins that are actual food and they don't upset your stomach either at the health food store but it was 60 pills for $30. It was too expensive so I switched over to this. Great bargain imo. Pros

Best Uses Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: At first I took it with no food cause the previous brand I was using didn't require this step, upset my stomach really bad. Was sick all day. Took it witch breakfast and water same story. Took it with a ton loud of food and a ton of water. No change, I let every girl in my house try them and they had the same problem. Just not even worth trying Pros

Comments about One A Day Teen Advantage for Her, 80 ea: I read the previous reviews, that stated that this vitamin gave several teens an upset stomach, but we haven't experienced that at all. My teen girls take this with dinner every evening, and have never complained of an upset stomache. My 13 year old has no problem swallowing the viatamins either, but my 15 year old does. However, my 15 year old has always had issues about swallowing pills, so I expected that. I'm not sure how effective they have been in clearing up the skin because we haven't been using them that long, but all in all I think this is a great vitamin for teens. |
