I love this color for summer, and I am not a teenager, but a woman in her 40s. It is fuschia with blue undertones. Definitely pink and not purple. I would not call it neon 80s pink like the other reviewers, but it is hot pink and so attractive.

I was looking for a light purple, and Pompeii Purple looked like the color I wanted. It's a gorgeous color, even though it's not as dark as I had hoped. It's a deep pink with an iridescent sheen. It would look perfect on my toes, if I had a suntan. I don't wear color on my nails, so this Pompeii Purple won't work for me...

pretty color, bright, it is not a flat paint so to speak..the dots of color for ordering do not show the irridescent color. I like most OPI nail colors..but sometimes the color charts do not show shimmers, or frost colors.

Your grandma may have called it "gawdy", but this color is so much fun, how can you resist? Irridescent fuschia looks great on toes or on long fingernails, especially if you have a nice tan.

I bought this color because I wanted a fun bright color for the summer. Well I am glad I did because i got my package inthe mail today and came back here to write a review and see that it is not out of stock and on backorder!

Note: the color is called pompai purple, but make no mistakes about it, this color is NEON pink. If that's what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed! And when I say neon pink- mean like 80's child neon pink. So it may be too bringht and intense for some folks to wear to the office, but i can't wait to use it on my toes for the summer. It goes on smooth and one coat is plenty- the wide salon bruch is great.

definitely worth the buy if you are looking for a fun bright summer color. Just remember that it is unquestionaly PINK and not purple..

This was my first purchase of OPI and I have to say I love it. Lasts and lasts through sandals and closed toe shoes, as well. Will definitely try some of the other colors.

This is a gorgeous hot pink color! Sure turns up the fun factor on my toes! Would love to have more fun colors like this! Make sure to do at least two coats for really saturated bright color. Great product!

I wore this shade on my toes when I went on a vacation at the beach. It is an amazing color! I got so many compliments. It is a really bright pink (though it's called purple because it shines slightly blue in the light). It is so fun, I highly recommend it!
