This conditioner is great for chemically, relaxed hair. It has really good ingredients that repair the hair cuticle that gets damaged during the relaxer process - I researched the ingredients. I am Black with relaxed, thick hair. I used this conditioner following shampoo as directed and my hair looked great afterwards, but it may be a little heavy for individuals with fine hair because it has a wax ingredient. I think it works best on my hair when I use it in the following ways: 1) as a pre-shampoo treatment - I apply it from roots to ends and leave it on overnight with a plastic cap. I then wash my hair the next day and follow with a deep conditioner and 2) after my relaxer is rinsed out, this conditioner is applied and sits on my hair for 10 mins, then my hair is washed with neutralizing shampoo, and then a deep conditioner is applied. When I use it in these two ways, my hair has more bounce and looks moisturized. I only wish the conditioner had some protein in it. Overall, my hair is more healthy after using this conditioner.
