Comments about Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass 1250 Calories, Vanilla, 6 lb:

This is actually a weak gainer powder. Bought it to supplement my protein powder. The add says 50g protein and 1250 cals per serving. The catch is a serving is about 4 cups of powder. The scooper is so big it wont fit in a glass, its like a 2 cup measuring cup itself and a serving is two rounded scoops. The instructions say to drink 1/2 servings twice a day but that can be difficult, its a lot of powder. The 6lb container only has 8 full 1250 cal servings. I used this for about a month taking small servings throughout the day. Its effective at adding a few hundred cals here and there but after drinking half a serving your stomach is gonna feel heavy, not a pre-workout drink at all. I prefer muscle milk (25+ grams protein a serving) or cyto gainer for carbs much more as they are easier to drink before and after a workout. Price is low, but you get what you pay for in the potency factor.

My husband is on a feeding tube due to throat cancer. He uses this to supplement his diet and keep his weight up. It tastes good, and mixes well with any liquid. Highly recommend to anyone trying to gain or keep weight on. 1250 calories per serving!!
