Orajel PM works as advertised, but it's a waste of your money. Orajel PM's composition is identical to that of Orajel Severe Toothache Pain Relief (STPR). The only difference is the PM packaging, and there's nothing PM (ie sleep enhancing) about it. Orajel has simply re-packaged Orajel STPR and labeled it as new, reducing the product volume and increasing the price.

Orajel PM (.25 oz), Orajel STPR (.33 oz), and Colgate's Orabase (.42 oz) all work exceptionally well for long lasting relief of pain in your mouth. They work even better when the painful area is one you can fill with the creme/paste. Their consistency is thicker and stays in place much better than the plethora of liquids and gels now available on the market. The pastes don't taste quite as good as the thinner products, but the vastly extended pain relief is well worth the tradeoff IMHO.

I highly recommend both Orajel STPR and Colgate's Orabase, but I think it's foolish to purchase Orajel PM. They all generally sell for $6-$8 here, depending on what sales and/or special offers are available. Orajel PM is consistently the most expensive, even when it *is* discounted. Colgate's Orabase is usually a slighty better buy than Orajel STPR, but not always. Orajel products tend to go on sale and have more special offers than Colgate ones. You'll need to divide price by volume to see what the best deal on any given day is.

Oh my gosh, I just couldnt believe that this Orajel PM would work. It is indeed a cream that stick's to the tooth, not a runny liquid that you just swallow and the pain is right back! I used it and one coat worked through the night and my tooth was still coated with the cream when I woke up! I was indeed impressed with this Orajel PM cream.
