I need the longer brush that Oral-B offers to insure I get all the way through the interdental spaces. Oral B brushes are 80% longer than the butler gum brushes and only the Oral-B interdental handle accommodate the entire tail of the Oral-B Brush.

I guess you can pick out food pieces with this, but I prefer all-in-one instead. This is not a brush, so I never even used it. :(

This dental device is ***essential*** to preventing cavities, and comes with two differently-shaped brushes so you can decide which one is best in your circumstance. I love both shaped brushes that come with it and consequently am ordering another handle so I can finish my teeth more quickly. The flat cylindrical-shaped brush fits perfectly in a very tight place on one side of a bridge, but is not quite thick enough for the other side, where the tapered brush works beautifully. Even if you floss carefully, there is nothing quite like rubbing a tender-soft brush on the sides of a tooth (or teeth) for removing soft plaque every day before it hardens into tartar and is MUCH harder to remove. If you are truly going to take care of your teeth so you will have them your entire life, you MUST come to grips with this reality: Every tooth in your head MAY have a slightly different cleaning need. JUST ACCEPT IT AND DO WHAT IS NEEDED TO SAVE THAT TOOTH. By doing something about it every day you will save yourself YEARS OF GRIEF at the dentist's office or the prosthedontist's office or the implant specialist's office. I speak from experience. Just buy this product and learn how to use it!!

My hygienist first recommended this kind of brush to me and I've been using them faithfully ever since. Since bacteria congregate between teeth, this little brush gets into spaces even floss can't always reach.

The brush is plastic and does require reasonably careful handling to avoid snapping off the hinge you open when you replace the brush part itself. And regular brush replacement is important. A worn-down brush exposes the central wire and can damage teeth and gums.

However! When used carefully and regularly,with replacement brush heads as needed, this appliance is the finishing touch for a really clean mouth. I wouldn't be without it!
