I tried Organic Wear loose powder after having had good success with Physician's Formula regular loose powder.
Positives - The main reason I bought this product was because of its natural ingredients (no parabens, pthalates, etc). I was happy that it has very good coverage despite it feeling light, unlike liquid foundation. Also unlike liquid foundation, this does not make me break out or turn into an oil slick after a few hours. I thought the colors were easy to match my skin, both in the winter when I am fair (and use creamy beige) and in the summer when I'm tan (I use sand beige then).
Negatives - Because this product does not contain dangerous pthalates (artificial fragrances), it does smell a bit different from most makeup. But it's a small price to pay in order to know you makeup isn't giving you cancer or your unborn child birth defects. Also, as a loose powder, this does tend to settle into creases by the end of the day, and if you don't let your moisturizer fully dry underneath, it will get cakey.
Some other reviewers complained about the brush. It fluffs up a great deal after a few weeks of use. I like it.
If you are considering a loose powder as a lighter alternative to a foundation, and want a natural product without dangerous ingredients, definitely try Organic Wear.
I really like the light, smooth finish this powder gives. The brush is awful - use your own! Apply ample moisturizer to any dry areas prior to applying.
Despite being advertised as natural and healthy, this product really disappoints me. It has a very foul odor that's simply unpleasant to linger around your face. The powder is very drying. The coverage is light, and it tends to fade throughout the day. The color selection range is very limited, most tend to be too light. The brush is not usable at all. Only postive note is that it has not irritated my acne prone skin yet. But definitely not the most comfortable foundation to put on one's face.
May be worn alone or over makeup. Invert and gently tap to allow powder to gather in the tray. Open siger lid. Lightly brush over face and neck to even out complexion. For the most even application, be sure to excess powder from brush before applying. For best results on dry to very dry skin, apply moisturizer prior to using powder.
