Comments about Out Of Africa Organic Shea Butter Body Lotion, Lavender, 9 oz: The lavender smells a little funny, like they didn't put enough in or lavender just doesn't go well with Shea butter, in my opinion. It absorbs quickly and leaves me soft, it feels completely weightless when dry. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Out Of Africa Organic Shea Butter Body Lotion, Lavender, 9 oz: first of all the smell is so strong it will knock you on your rear. it's too strong. it's as iff someone dumped an entire bottle of lavender into the formula as opposed to just a few drops. i thought this would be a subtle lavender scent. if you like a very strong lavender scent this is for you. that said, once you actually use lotion the scent fades very quickly-not sure if that's a quirk of my body chemistry or what-but you have to get past the initial onslaught of the lavender to use it. that said as far as actually moisturizing it's just fair. to be honest for a shea butter based product the consistency is too thin. i realize this is a lotion and not a butter or a whipped butter but i think it should be heavier. my skin (except for my elbows and heels which resemble sandpaper) is normal to dry so i wasn't expecting much by way of improvement. however my 12 yo is another story. he has severely dry skin swims almost daily and is a boy so getting him to use lotion is battle. i managed to test out the lotion on his arm and his skin just laughed at it. it was like i hadn't put any lotion on him at all. my son HATES the scent too. i purposely bought the lotion for its shea butter and lavender healing properties-heavy on fragrance light on healing. i bought the ooa body oil ([...]) and i hope to have more success with it. i will say that i love that this is chemical free and organic. if you have normal skin this lotion may work for you especially if you use unscented.
