Being an OXY product, I expected this cleanser to be highly effective at zapping acne. However, it wasn't! It tingled, and cleansed, and left my skin dry and slightly irritated.

I was skeptical at first if this would work given that Neutrogena's products with Salicylic Acid didn't work & dried out skin. Boy was I wrong! I wish I had this product 20 years ago! One of the 3 reasons for acne is sticky skin cells (which then clogs pores), which I must have, cuz this product cleared them away & AMAZINGLY cleared current zits and current scars!

I've tried all acne products, including Accutane, which works for 3 years then the zits come back. Never have I had 5 months of clear skin (and I'm in my 40s) since using Oxy Wash with Salicylic Acid!! And it immediately cleared the current scars and marks left from zits. I'm soo happy - but I can't find this product in the stores. So I buy it here and have stocked up on it (seriously), in case they discontinue it. Also it doesn't dry out skin - just make sure you put a moisturizer on afterwards. I have dried-out skin from Accutane & use Retin-A (which isn't as good as this), & this wash doesn't dry out skin or create red skin.

I know I'm unusually enthusiastic about this product, but I finally found something that stops the zits - just make sure u use it once a day & give it 3 days to start seeing a noticeable difference to clear skin & confidence regained...

I have been using this stuff for several years, and it works great! I think the other reviewer (who refers to the white version of this) might be thinking about a different Oxy 10 product (Oxy Acne Treatment Daily Wash Maximum Strength), which is benzoyl peroxide. This is salicylic acid. Benzoyl peroxide products works well for acne, but it bleaches clothing/towels (and can burn skin if used too much); so I use that in the morning when I shower (no potential for ruining clothes!), and use this salicylic acid cleaner to clean my face at other times of the day. In my experience, it is not as strong as benzoyl peroxide, so if you have bad acne, you need the peroxide products; if you don't have a huge acne problem and/or have sensitive skin, you probably won't be able to handle the peroxide products more than once/day, and this stuff works great for the other times you want to wash your face. Using these two products, I can honestly say that I have not had a single acne issue since using these two products in this manner.

By the way, I used to use Clean and Clean Continuous Control (foaming) acne wash, which is exactly the same ingredients as this; however, Oxy's version is like a liquid soap (thick gel) and C & C is a watery soap that turns to foam thru their pump. So, I started diluting this with water and using an old foaming wash pump (just as you would to make soap foaming soap), and it still works perfectly. In other words, I get about 4-5 times the amount of cleaner with the same effectiveness. And again, I've been doing this for about 2.5 years, and still no acne issues AT ALL! (But had some acne issues till finding these products.)

I used OXY 10 for a long time. This oxy is a new version. I used the white fomula for many years and it is very effective. This new formual is clear and not very effective. Actually I find it irratating. Please carry the White formula Oxy 10 product!
