I have used Oxy a few times and have loved it each time but kept searching for something that smelled a little better. After much searching and no results I went back to the Oxy. It clears my skin up in a matter of days (I use the spot treatment with it) and with regular use, keeps the acne away! VS Most Liked Negative Review I have combination skin ... I've been breaking out, probably because I switched birth control pills to a lower estrogen dose. Anyways, I was in search of something to help my acne. I used this for awhile (only on my t-zone) and it seemed to work, but it dried out my eyelids and cheeks even though I didn't wash that area with Oxy (probably the soapy run-off.) I had to use aquaphor on my eyelids because the skin became so dry and bright red. I had to smear a heavy moisturizer on my entire face even though I've never had to do that before. The wash worked pretty well but having to deal with dry, flaky skin for me wasn't worth it so I stopped using the product. If your skin is super oily and doesn't get irritated I'm sure this will work for you, but if you have even regular to dry skin, keep away from this it will make you flake. Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: If your skin is very oil than I would say it is fine to use daily. If you have combination to dry sking, I would only use every other day. Depending on your skin type and use it should work well for you. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: I'm in my mid-fifties and use this product because it makes my skin soft and helps with discoloration. I think it must work as an exfoliant, though I haven't read that. If I don't use it for a while, my face starts to get a little rough. It only take a couple of days to feel a difference. I also like it because it cleans my skin without drying like soap products. I also only occasionally have acne now. Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: Product works alright, although it will STAIN your towels and pillowcases. Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: I have adult acne, and I am still in search for something that will end this irritation. I used Proactiv before and that was the Miracle Drug. But like many others after using it for a while (more than 5 months) I started to break out again. Especially when it started to get expensive, I would stop using it, and I broke out even more, like a dependency. Anyways, I did switch over to Oxy, and I was happy to find that it worked! I used it for a few months (over 5 months again), and somehow it lost its effectiveness, and I'm breaking out again. Not as bad as when you get off Proactiv, but definitely breaking out nonetheless. Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: Did nothing for my acne. I guess its all the parabens in it . Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: Acne products are wishy washy in that one may work great for one person and bad for another. Unfortunately this product didn't work well. At first it seemed to work well, but after using the whole bottle, and not seeing results I realize that there has to be something better out there. Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: Did nothing to treat my acne, try Clearasil. Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: I had been using the Clean & Clear Advantage Kit and actually had decently clear skin. I ran out of the cleanser and couldn't find the kit anywhere (including drugstore.com) so I tried to find a Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser that was similar. The Oxy cleanser had wonderful reviews, but it did nothing but ruin my skin. I have broken out so bad that I just threw away the remaining product left over. I would give it less stars but 1 is the least I could do. Didn't work for me and I wish I could find the clean and clear kit again. Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: Oxy really does work! It made me STOP breaking out, and its starting to get rid of my redness and scares! It does dry out skin so moisturize. I totally recommend this product! Comments about OXY Daily Wash Acne Treatment, Maximum Strength, 6 oz: Benzyl peroxide usually irritates my skin and makes it dry and flaky. I was having a lot of breakout lately due to school stress, so I decided to give OXY a try. It's not harsh at all, and it leaves my face with a very smooth and soft feel. I also use it along with ZapZyt, which also has 10% benzyl peroxide. They work together to reduce the size of my whiteheads gradually. And my skin is dried up at all. I love this cleanser, and it's so cheap too. Displaying reviews 21-30 ![]() |
