I've been breaking out, probably because I switched birth control pills to a lower estrogen dose. Anyways, I was in search of something to help my acne. I used this for awhile (only on my t-zone) and it seemed to work, but it dried out my eyelids and cheeks even though I didn't wash that area with Oxy (probably the soapy run-off.) I had to use aquaphor on my eyelids because the skin became so dry and bright red. I had to smear a heavy moisturizer on my entire face even though I've never had to do that before. The wash worked pretty well but having to deal with dry, flaky skin for me wasn't worth it so I stopped using the product. If your skin is super oily and doesn't get irritated I'm sure this will work for you, but if you have even regular to dry skin, keep away from this it will make you flake. I stopped using this product while my face was clear, and started washing my face with St. Ives Apricot Cleanser for acne-prone skin. Within a month, my skin was back to the way it was-oily and covered with pimples. This is the only thing that works for me, and if you're worried about dryness, just use a moisturizer. I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub to exfoilate, and then this amazing wash afterwards, and my skin is glowing and vibrant. This will be the last time I stop using this product again. I've suffered with bad acne since 17 (I'm now going on 30), and I've been on everything from Accutane, Proactiv, Retin-A, Benzamycin, Duac etc. Dermatologists and prescription medicines become pricey and a headache after a while. I think in order for this product to work, you must also use it Oxy Daily Cleansing Pads and Oxy Lotion. Now I don't have oily skin, and my face is clear. Then I read the reviews for this, and decided to try it. WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG?!! If it had not been for the reviews on this site, I would never had known what a great product this was. The first night I used it, when I woke up the next morning I could already see a difference. I also use the vanishing lotion in the morning and at night, and the combination is unbelievable. It does seem to noticeably shrink my pores and help prevent breakouts. However, the warning that it may bleach hair or dyed fabrics is important. This stuff helps treating my existing pimples in a matter of days... but I can see and feel the results within hours after washing my face! I use this wash, followed by 2% salicylic acid treatment pads, a soothing toner for my eye and neck area ( I like Nivea Visage Moisturizing Toner) a bit of lac-hydrin five to moisturize my face, and some 10% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. This plan works for me because I have a follicle disorder. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE SUPER SENSITIVE SKIN!! I got lucky because it was one of the first things I tried, and has worked like a charm for me since. I just hate running out of it, because within a week the acne is back without it. Doesn't dry out my skin, mild medicinal fragrance, and now increasingly difficult to find in stores. Happy that drugstore.com carries this.
