There is not nearly enough scrubbing beads in this product to be considered a scrub. When using you'll come across a bead here and there, but that's it. If you want a scrub, get a St. Ives product and don't even touch this one. This does however feel good on your face giving it a nice cooling sensation, but that's about as far as it goes. Don't expect anymore than that.

Although the smell leans more toward males, the product worked great for me! I have tried pretty much every scrub out there and finally found one that kept me from having that 1 huge zit every month! Yeah, the black is odd but who cares. To all the haters out there, Oxy makes good products that actually work-without TV ads and telemarketer calls. Why would a 15 year old with light acne try this in the first place? It is a "MAXIMUM" strength product, so of course it will dry your skin-duh!
Bottom line-if you are out of options, try it...if it works great, if not don't buy it again.

My teenage son really likes this product, and I like it as well for adult acne on my back (I am a personal trainer so get stuck in sweaty clothing a lot). Awesome smell and very effective, but difficult to find anywhere in stores.

I very much enjoy this product. The black is a little strange at first, but looks are not everything. The smell is very nice and uplifting, though it seems to be aimed toward a scent that guys enjoy. Either way it leaves skin feeling soft and fresh. I have sensitive skin, so i switch between this and another product when my face starts to dry out ( which is normal for any face care product aimed toward getting rid of acne)... either way i love it, and hope it doesn't go away.

This is a great product - it helps mild to moderate acne. The only reason people dont like it is because it comes out black at first - but when cleaning the black disappears and the skin is left feeling very clean - not irritated and not oily. Best when used when you dont want to use the bottle of Oxy that has benzolyperoxide at every time - which can irritate the skin sometimes and over dry.

I know this stuff got alot of bad reviews, but when i use it, i don't break out and my skin feels fresh and looks smooth. Plus, regarding ingredients, it's very similar to Erno Laszlo's black soap...that famous mud soap that costs [$] and is sold at Saks, Neiman Marcus, etc. This Oxy scrub is like the liquid version of that Laszlo soap. Maybe this Oxy scrub is only suitable for very oil or acne-prone skin, i don't know, but it totally works for me.

I tried every other face wash out there and decided to use this, i am a girl and i found it incredibly harsh on my skin. It dried out my skin and left it peeling. It didn't help my few pimples that pop up or my blackheads. It made my skin irritated. It was just to harsh.

If I could I would rate this product with 0 stars.I am 15 with very light acne...I get a pimple every now and then and I wanted to find something that help try to prevent them. I have dry skin and this product made it worse. It made my skin peel so bad that my face felt raw, and to make matters worse I got more acne than I ever had before!!! It has taken two months to undo the damage that this horrible product has done to my face.....and even now I feel that my face isn't as great as what is was before I used this. I hope oxy goes out of business soon. They don't deserve loyal customers.Ever.
