I have sensitive skin, so i switch between this and another product when my face starts to dry out ( which is normal for any face care product aimed toward getting rid of acne)... either way i love it, and hope it doesn't go away. At first I started to think that my acne was starting to clear up but after using the scrub some more my skin started to really dry out, even the oiliest parts of my face like my nose started to get dry and crack even though I use a moisturizer day and night. After that phase started to get acne in places which I never had acne before (forehead and chin) so I stopped using it. Overall it's too drying so I wouldn't recommend buying this product. When using you'll come across a bead here and there, but that's it. If you want a scrub, get a St. Ives product and don't even touch this one. This does however feel good on your face giving it a nice cooling sensation, but that's about as far as it goes. Don't expect anymore than that. Pros

I have tried pretty much every scrub out there and finally found one that kept me from having that 1 huge zit every month! Yeah, the black is odd but who cares. To all the haters out there, Oxy makes good products that actually work-without TV ads and telemarketer calls. Why would a 15 year old with light acne try this in the first place? It is a "MAXIMUM" strength product, so of course it will dry your skin-duh! Pros

The only reason people dont like it is because it comes out black at first - but when cleaning the black disappears and the skin is left feeling very clean - not irritated and not oily. Best when used when you dont want to use the bottle of Oxy that has benzolyperoxide at every time - which can irritate the skin sometimes and over dry. Pros

Plus, regarding ingredients, it's very similar to Erno Laszlo's black soap...that famous mud soap that costs [$] and is sold at Saks, Neiman Marcus, etc. This Oxy scrub is like the liquid version of that Laszlo soap. Maybe this Oxy scrub is only suitable for very oil or acne-prone skin, i don't know, but it totally works for me. Pros Cons

It dried out my skin and left it peeling. It didn't help my few pimples that pop up or my blackheads. It made my skin irritated. It was just to harsh. I have dry skin and this product made it worse. It made my skin peel so bad that my face felt raw, and to make matters worse I got more acne than I ever had before!!! It has taken two months to undo the damage that this horrible product has done to my face.....and even now I feel that my face isn't as great as what is was before I used this. I hope oxy goes out of business soon. They don't deserve loyal customers.Ever.
