For the past 3 years, my skin has been sensitive to added fragrance; if I use a body-wash or lotion with added fragrance, my skin will often develop severe itching and hives.

Self-tanners of all varieties tend to have added fragrance. As a result, I have not "experimented" very much with gradual self-tanners. I have tried instant self-tanners before (on my theory that applying a fragranced body care product once a week is better than something similarly fragranced that must be applied every other day); they would usually turn me oompa-loompa orange, and inflame my skin, to boot.

Palmer's Natural Bronze Body Lotion is the first lotion-with-added-fragrance that I've been able to use in 3 years. It does not give me hives at all. Upon initial application, it'll sometimes cause small areas of my skin to itch veeery slightly; however, whatever minor itch that occurs is easily soothed with hydrocortisone cream.

And the color! I'm half-Asian with a light gold complexion (fairly golden, in BE terms) and it deepens my skin to a natural-looking medium gold--which is just enough to disguise veins and discolorations on my body.

gives a great real looking tan. covers well, develops fast. apply every day or every other day to keep it up. but is long lasting. no streaks, no bad smell. soft moisterized skin & great color. I am very fair skinned and to get tan legs in a day or 2 is great. same with neck, chest & arms.

I love this tanner. I've never had any streaking with it, but I do take a damp cloth and lightly rub my knees where the skin tends to absorb a little more. I like the smell. I use it about every other day. I use it on my legs, which don't get that much sun, and the color perfectly matches my arms, which are pretty tan on their own. I gave a friend the remainder of a bottle to try and she loves it, and now has recommended it to a friend of hers, who also loves it! And I LOVE no animal testing!

I have tried many bronzer products and this is the best by far. Doesn't streak and gives me a long lasting warm glow to my legs and arms. Have received many compliments.

Noticed instant color the next day. Was a little streaky but not too bad. There wasnt an unpleasant aftersmell either like some self tanners give you. Only lasted about two days. I think it works fine for this price.

I'm giving this a mediocre review, but my lack of luck with this product may be because my skin is very pale. Also, all skin products react differently with different skin types. But here goes...

It goes on smoothly, absorbs nicely, and doesn't rub off on my clothes or sheets. The smell is alright, a bit strong for my taste, and you can still smell the tanning chemicals beyond the delicious chocolate smell. That's why I said it smells bad. It's a little too dark for my skin tone, I like a very light tan. At first I thought it went on pretty smoothly, but after a while I noticed that when I straighten my arms, the joint behind my elbow was discolored, as if when I had bent my arm, the lotion moved. Anyway behind my elbow there was a big round white spot.

Absolutely the best after-sun moisturizer. Color is natural (not orange/yellow) and the mild fragrance compliments any perfume.

I use the product after showering and it is thin enough to be spread evenly over my legs and arms. I am sure DAMP Skin helps. Palmer's Natural Bronze feathers beautifully and never leaves a hint of a streak anywhere. I apply it 2days in a row (I am very fair skinned) to get the color I wish. It also washes easily off of the palms of my hands and from under my nails.

This is the best self-tanner ever. It works quickly, absorbs quickly, doesn't stain your clothes or bedding (like all others), and the aroma is very pleasant. I have been using self-tanners for years (even the expensive ones) but this is the one I'm stickng with. Leave it to Palmers.
