I'm giving this a mediocre review, but my lack of luck with this product may be because my skin is very pale. Also, all skin products react differently with different skin types. But here goes...

It goes on smoothly, absorbs nicely, and doesn't rub off on my clothes or sheets. The smell is alright, a bit strong for my taste, and you can still smell the tanning chemicals beyond the delicious chocolate smell. That's why I said it smells bad. It's a little too dark for my skin tone, I like a very light tan. At first I thought it went on pretty smoothly, but after a while I noticed that when I straighten my arms, the joint behind my elbow was discolored, as if when I had bent my arm, the lotion moved. Anyway behind my elbow there was a big round white spot.

Absolutely the best after-sun moisturizer. Color is natural (not orange/yellow) and the mild fragrance compliments any perfume.

I use the product after showering and it is thin enough to be spread evenly over my legs and arms. I am sure DAMP Skin helps. Palmer's Natural Bronze feathers beautifully and never leaves a hint of a streak anywhere. I apply it 2days in a row (I am very fair skinned) to get the color I wish. It also washes easily off of the palms of my hands and from under my nails.

This is the best self-tanner ever. It works quickly, absorbs quickly, doesn't stain your clothes or bedding (like all others), and the aroma is very pleasant. I have been using self-tanners for years (even the expensive ones) but this is the one I'm stickng with. Leave it to Palmers.

I am very fair skinned and only use the product every Saturday and the color builds. Doesn't streak especially if used after showering. Best of all it doesn't ever rub off onto my white towel like other products have.

I love this. I just wanted a little winter tan and have vowed not to get into a tanning machine again. I like everything about this stuff. It gave me a nice tan glow and does not look fake. I like it alot! It does have a fragrance so I only use at night about three times a week.

This product is more of a moisturizer than a tanner so you won't get an immediate result. It builds over several days. It's very natural looking. You also get more for your money, my first bottle lasted several months. I've never had streaks from it and I usually just put it on very quickly after the shower. It does need a few minutes to dry and I don't recommend using it on the same day you are wearing something white (use it building up to that). I used it for two weeks prior to my wedding and I got tons of comments on my tan (and nothing was left on the inside of my dress). My skin is naturally medium color so I can't say how it would work on very fair skinned people.

I used this product on my legs. The color was effective, but only for about 2 days. At that time, it streaked and became blotchy. I reluctantly re-applied. Since the smell of the product was initially overwhelming, I had hoped the tanning effect would last through several showers and/or baths. (Others I've used in the past tend to look "fresh" on my skin for 5 to 7 days). Referencing the smell: It was not unpleasant at first. In fact, the cocoa butter essence was almost fragrant. However, within 15 minutes, it was so strong I could barely breathe! And it remained this way until I bathed the next morning. I will not use this product again and am giving it one star solely on the basis of its moisturizing quality, which is something I am able to find in the product I formerly used without having to endure that cloying cocoa aroma.

The best! Smells great, just like Palmer's with no funky "tanner" smell. The color is a nice brown with a hint of apricot, so this might be best for people with orange/yellow skin tone. As for the hand staining, the bottle is pretty clear about washing your hands after use.
