It smells great and absorbs reasonably well. The cream is thick but has a "gel like" texture- I can't explain but it is heavy but not greasy. I use very little and rub it in well. Eventually it absorbs and it is not tacky afterward. It's a very difficult cream to find. I hope they keep selling it. I was thrilled to find a cream with retinol for such a low price point, but I guess you sometimes get what you pay for. The heavy floral scent reminds me of products from the 70's that older women used to wear. The cream is thick and goes on smoothly. However, as soon as I slathered it on, my face turned red and started to burn. I use lots of products and don't have sensitive skin, so I thought I'd try it for a week since retinol takes some getting used to. I used this product at night, and the Palmer's day moisturizer in the morning. What a mistake. My skin was inflamed and burned all day. The texture was dry and rough. I had to use Cerave body cream after showers just to soften and cut down the burning sensation. REVIEWS Reviewed by 11 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros Cons

Comments about Palmer's Night Renewal Cream, 2.7 oz: I use this "night" cream both day and night and would not want to use anything else. What I cannot figure out is why the local well known major drugstore chain cannot order it for me so I can buy it from the store down the street, since the local major drugstore chain also owns drugstore.com and it has other Palmers products.

Comments about Palmer's Night Renewal Cream, 2.7 oz: This product has retinol, so it can lead to a little flaking. My own fault, I thougth it was just a night-time moisturizer. Once your skin gets used to it, it gets better and starts getting smoother and softer, but the first couple weeks for my skin to stop flaking so much. Do not use with other Retinol or alpha-hydroxy products!
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Palmer's Night Renewal Cream, 2.7 oz: Wow.. so disappointed love Palmers for one main reason they usually put in whats needed not extra chemicals, like various underlying fragrances. I hope they continue to make their products true to the way they introduced themselves to the market. It is unfortunate I can not use due to the extra fragrances which may not bother some although for me I cannot and I prefer not to put on my skin what is not needed due to sensitive and for health reasons. Less is More and I believe most of Palmers products were that way but not this one. Just be careful if you are sensitive to fragrances that are hidden. ;(

Comments about Palmer's Night Renewal Cream, 2.7 oz: Product work well and smells better than I expected. Having always had a complex skin type I like that it doesn't leave a greasy appearance after absorbed. I use the Palmer's daily facial lotion in combination with this product.

Comments about Palmer's Night Renewal Cream, 2.7 oz: I purchased this because I wanted a thick moisturizer to use at night during the winter and that is exactly what it does. I do not have fine lines or wrinkles so I can't speak to whether it helps with those issues, but it's a good nighttime moisturizer. ![]() |
