I live in a very humid climate and with some of the eco-friendly dishwashing detergents, although they clean the dishes well, the dishwasher begins to get moldy after using them. With this product, not only are my dishes clean and spotless, so is my dishwasher. I only have it 4 stars because you can smell the bleach and I am unsure if it's a more eco-friendly bleach. I'd prefer more of a lemony smell.

I have long been trying to switch to eco-friendly products, especially when it comes to cleaning things that come in contant with food. This product cleans brilliantly, BUT it contains bleach- which makes it useless for my purposes. High heat + decent soap kill harmful pathogens. There is no need for bleach in a dishwashing liquid. In fact, it adds residual harmful chemicals onto dishes. I am switching to Ecover dishwashing tablets- work really well when just tossed into the dishwasher, rather than closed into the compartment.

I really wanted this to work, but unfortunately it left a white film on my dishes each time I used it. Ended up having to buy a different product.

We use this at work for our dishwasher. It does a good job getting dishes clean plus we like the fact it's eco-friendly. It doesn't smell lemony, but that's ok (and prefer it this way) as the main reason is for cleaning. Would recommend.

This is dish soap, a review of dish soap is silly right? Well after it ruined a few of my nice silver flatware pieces I figured not so silly. If this stuff hits silver while not fully dissolved in water it pits it and turns it black for ever!! After reviewing the product for this reason I looked into its ingredients and it is not very green or eco after all. Just a gimick! Use something else if you wash anything silver and if you are looking for the eco product.

Just OK. Performs better than the Seventh Generation but that is not saying much. Particles of food still do not get completely washed away with the Palmolive Eco. This does not help me be environmentally responsible when I have to re-wash items from the dishwasher load. I will stick to tried and true brands.

Great for cleaning dishes, but only if used inside the detergent container in your dishwasher. Have seen residue when using it in the additional uncovered receptical.

I cannot believe I'm taking the time to fill out a review on dishwasher detergent. But this stuff is so terrible that couldn't NOT express how awful it is. We usually use Seventh Generation. But I saw this product in our store in a large bottle and a really great price. I figured I'd save myself a few bucks. I guess you get what you pay for. I've never had a problem with residue before but this stuff leaves a thick, white, cloudy film all over everything. Even the inside of the dishwasher is covered in it. This only happened after I used this particular product. I'm very disappointed and now I have this huge bottle of the stuff that I will never use. I'm going back to Seventh Generation.

It smells heavily of bleach and makes my kids sick. If you want something that is really "eco", this is NOT the product!
