I am 44 years old and still suffer from acne and oily skin. I tried so many of the highly advertised products with little or no results. I saw this soap on a shelf at a local retailer about 5 years ago and thought I would give it a try. I can't say enough about the effectiveness of this product. Some may think it is pricy, but 1 bar of this goes a long way. It is a dense soap bar. I use it with a back brush, which with bar soaps, you'd think it would dissolve quickly, but it doesn't. It's great on your face, but my main concern was my back and shoulders. Get a nice medium bristled brush and build up a good lather. Use the brush in a circular motion over your chest, shoulders and back. Let the soap stay on for a couple of minutes before rinsing so the medicine can take effect. You will see and feel the difference within days. Another plus is it has no scent. I really hope they never discontinue this product.

I have used this product until they started price gouging us customers, since then I have gone to loquid facial cleansers. Many other liquid facial cleansers work just as good, saving lots of money while resisting greedy profiteers.

This product really works very well for my moderate acne and oily skin. It dries the bumps aiding them to heal much faster than they normally would. I also use this on my scalp (lathers well to wash your hair). I have oily facial skin and hair. If you have very dry skin, then you might not like it, but you could always use it and then apply a moisterizer afterwards. This product has helped me clear acne more than any other product I've used, including Clearasil, which is my second favorite.

I have been experiencing tiny bumps on the back of my arms that seem to only appear in the warmer months when I want to wear short sleeve/sleeveless shirts. I tried to get rid of them to no avail. I then thought that they might be a form of acne, so I decided to try the proactiv lotion which has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. I also tried some tea tree oil (blemish stick). Well, I had a reaction to the tea tree oil which seemed to be helping but caused a rash on top of everything. So, knowing that I'm not allergic to benzoyl peroxide, I decided to search for a body wash that wouldn't cost too much which led me to Panoxyl. I use it every day; at the end of my shower after I've rinsed out all shampoos and washed with regular soap and rinsed completely, I just use the Panoxyl on the areas that I want to treat let it sit for about a minute or two and rinse. It lathers up just as well as the Dove soap, doesn't have any odor and rinses off clean. My arms have cleared up and my skin is soft not irritated or dry. I have noticed that if I happen to sweat at all (even mild perspiration to the point that I don't even know I'm perspiring) that it bleaches colored clothes which it states in its warnings...so it came as no surprise, but I guess if there was a con this would be the only one I could note since it ruined a nice 3/4 length sleeved shirt of mine. Overall, I am very happy with this soap as a matter of fact I just ordered 3 more bars of it!

I purchased this product after attending a function and seeing a picture of myself. My face was red and blotchy and I wanted to cry. I decided to purchase PanOxyl Acne Cleansing Bar after reading positive reviews about it.

I noticed a difference the very next day. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and my skin has cleared up a lot. I've even felt comfortable enough to go out in public with just powder on, instead of heavy foundation and concealer.

I like that the soap comes with a tray to keep it dry and from going to waste.

I did notice that it does bleach clothing. I have one shirt that it ruined, so now I just wear older shirts when I wash my face.

It does leave my skin a little dry, which isn't too bad considering I have oily skin, so I've been applying Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream immediately after using the PanOxyl bar.

Overall, I love this product. It is effective and affordable and I will continue to use it.

I've been using this for about 5 days now. It has reduced pimple size, and redness. At first I used it all over my face, but I noticed it started drying out my skin and making it flake, so now I only use it in the acne affected part of my face, cheeks, chin. So I recommend it, but don't use it where you don't have any acne.

When I stopped getting teenage acne on my face I started to get it on my body. For years, as an adult, I have been embarrassed to wear revealing clothing because of my acne. Nothing worked to get rid of it. Then I found this bar and tried it and it started clearing up my acne right away. What I do is I get my skin warm in the shower and then step out of the stream of water and sudz this product over my problem areas. Sometimes I gently scrub with a natural loofah. I leave it on for 2 minutes then rinse off. Then I cleanse my whole body with a body wash and body poof. What I like about it is that it clears your acne and since you wash it out you don't have to worry about bleaching your clothing. Benzoyl Peroxide is the only product I have found to get rid of body acne (salicylic acid doesn't work) and finally I have found a product that works without bleaching my clothes!

I use it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Dries my face out, but I apply some lotion right after to keep moist.

This cleansing bar is very effective in clearing moderate to severe acne or the face or back/chest. However, it is a bit drying so do not overuse it or using the 5% cleansing bar about two times a day. If used consistently, your face will clear up in about 2 weeks i would say. good product overall.
