skin irritation may occur, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling, or possibly swelling. More frequent use or higher concentrations may aggravate such irritation. Mild irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in a lower concentration.

This product destroyed my skin. I bought it when i kept getting painful pimples on my forhead and i used it one day and it made my skin feel really tight and dry! After two more days of using it my lips and the area around my lips and the area around my nose were so dry that it was painful and itchy! I stopped using it and my skin is still peeling, dry, red, and IRRITATED! I had really OILY skin and this totally dried my skin out beyond rapair! My face still feels really painful now.
I am a 63 year-old male who has had Rosacea for many years. My dermatologist suggested 10% benzoyl peroxide a few years ago. I had a prescription. When it expired, I tried PanOxyl. It works very well for me. It is not drying. I have nothing but positive things to say about it.
This product is very effective! With the first application/wash I noticed an immediate difference! My skin was clean and my Acne was well maintained during the course of use. It lasted me approx 3mos with a twice daily application! When I ran out my skin became oily again and did not feel clean. I swear by this product! I have suffered with acne for over 20 yrs and this is the most effective product to date!
Product works well, but it is very drying to the skin. I use it at night, apply a moisturizer immediately and that seems to curb the drying, peeling skin. Be sure to use a good moisturizer. I use it 2-3 times a week for my shoulders, back and face. It seems to be helping remove blackheads and clear up existing pimples. But, it is not a quick fix. It will take time.
Too strong for use on my face. I use it in the summer for the pumps and acne that I get from clogged pores on my back. It's very drying, so I have to limit use to 3-4 times a week.
I'm 25, and I just got into Real Estate. Having a clean face is very important. I have had oily skin and large pores since I was a teeny bopper, and I have tried many different products. The only thing that seemed to work was living in Colorado for a few years, where my skin was mysteriously not oily.. also when I vacationed in Puerto Rico, I didn't even need lotion there it was great). But now I live in Florida, and my skin gets very irritated from the heat (and some air pollution).
I have been using this PanOxyl wash for two weeks now - twice a day, and in the shower on my upper body. It cleans all the nasties out of there, so when I moisturize, it's a perfect canvas and my skin can properly absorb what it needs to and form a protective barrier (versus more harsh cleansers that usually leave my face so dry, even heavy lotions with aloe and vit. E don't help). No negatives to this cleanser at all. The tube is pretty big too, so I only use a little bit each time, it will last me 6 months easily.
I use this in conjunction with Alpha Hydrox AHA 10% lotion and Eucerin Q10 for sensitive skin with SPF 15. My face has never looked so clear and glow-y!
After about a week of using this product I notice my skin was clearing up. In the process of using this product my skin did get dry but at the same time my Acne and clearing up. I would not use this product on the face. I did once and I broke out with a bad rash, which only lasted about 2 days. Other than that I've been using this product for almost a year now and it works. I can take my shirt off an not worry about the crazy looks people give you when you have bad skin. As on now my shoulder and lower back and chest are clear of ance. I continue to use this product just as a precaution but one 3 x a week instead of everyday when I first started. All in all this stuff work..
This is great for teens with acne on the chest or back. The dermatologist at the Children's Hospital recommended it and it really helps. Plus it's easier than putting cream on the back.

Apply acne wash an gently massage area for 1-2 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with 1 application daily, the gradually increase to 2 or 3 times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor.
If going outside, use a sunscreen. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of both products and consult a doctor.
