Normally, I don't review a product until after I have used it over a period of time. I was very pleased with the increase of volume in my hair after using. I also used this product on my husband's thinning hair and could see increased thickness in his fine hair on top.

This is mostly alcohol, which worried me a bit, thinking it would dry out my hair. Fortunately it didn't, but it didn't do anything for my hair either. It made it soft, but did not add fullness or body at all. Total waste.

I read so many wonderful reviews on other sites that I decided to try the hair thickening serum for starters, but when I got to the pharmacy, they had a little starter kit of smaller sizes, so you don't have to commit to spending so much money without trying it out first. The shampoo & conditioner are really nice...kind of a vanilla scent. But back to the product in question....LOVE it. My hair has been long and chemically treated with color and highlighting for many years. I keep it kind of messy or beachy. I noticed a change in texture and fullness right away, but nothing life changing. I think this is a product that improves the hair with regular use. It's not a miracle product! If you want instant gratification, go buy a wig! haha! When you compare the cost of the product with hair transplants and other more expensive treatments that may not even work, these are very reasonable priced. Look, if you're already half bald, this is not Miracle-Gro, ok? and it does not make you a Chia Pet. It's a quality product at a fair price. I'll order from the site from now on!

This Pantene thickening treatment was recommended for thinning, fine hair. I am 50+, but I have always had fine, flat, straight hair. My scalp isn't really thinning yet, but I need products to add volume to my hair! This product is easy to use--just squirt about 10X at the hair roots, then massage in. I spray a thermal protector on top, comb out, then blow dry. It does seem to add some lift to my lifeless, straight locks, without being greasy. I like the fact that the scent is neutral--no perfumy smell! So far I'm pleased.

I used as directed, found it worked well with wet or dry hair, and loved that it doesn't dull my hair or have that sticky feel and residue that most products have. They partnered with Olay on this, no wonder it works and has an affordable price tag.

The pump is not my favorite part....but the product itself gives a lift to my hair and it doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy.....I like that it dries quickly..I have been using this in combination with the shampoo and conditioner and I've been very happy with my hair's texture. My hair grew back very thin after chemo treatment two years ago. I have been using Rogaine, Progaine shampoo and other products trying to restore my hair to its previous thickness. The Pantene thickening formula has noticeably improved the appearance of my hair. It is much harder to see my scalp now even after using for 2.5 weeks. I highly recommend to anyone who has thinning hair.

While I can't yet speak to the long-term success of this product, I will say that it does add fullness and shine, but no more than Pantene's Weightless Gel for Fine Hair. I failed to note the volume of the container before purchasing, and at 4.2 oz., it isn't going to go far at 15 pumps per application, since I wash my hair daily. I feel Pantene is trading on the market niche of aging Boomers who are now experiencing thinning and hair loss, and their general income level. If this was a more generous bang for the buck, I'd consider using the product long term, but at almost $4 per ounce, I think I'll stick with their other Age Defying products.

I'm 22 years old and suffered from hair loss and thining for the past 2 years. This past summer, I started using Alterna's Caviar Clinical Daily Root & Scalp Stimulator to help prevent my thining. I noticed some improvement, however, considering how expensive Alterna products are, I was willing to give a Pantene's new prodcut a try. Although both products have different active ingredients, I was surprised by how much better my scalp and hair reacted to the Pantene treatment! After only a week of use, I noticed much less hair was shedding in the shower, and my hair brush had less hair in it as well. I've been using this product every other day for about a month and my hair really does feel thicker and more volumous. I do not spray directly on my scalp. Instead, I squirt about a nickel sized amount onto and finger tips and gently massage it over my entire scalp. I am thrilled by the results of this product! I highly recommend it!

I have very thin hair and really wanted this to help, even a little, but was disappointed. I applied it as suggested, used the large amount recommended (which made it a poor bargain), and there was no improvement in thickness. I also tried it on dry hair, applying as recommended using the number of sprays directed, and it only made my hair feel gummy. I won't buy again.
