I was surprised to read negative reviews about this product because I have had a great experience with it! I originally just bought this shampoo + conditioner to cut down on the number of containers to pack for travel, and continued to use separate salon-brand shampoo and conditioner at home (Matrix Amplify). But I was so impressed by this product's effect on my hair that I started using it at home as well, replacing my salon brand!

I have very thin/fine hair and it gives me great volume. The key for me is to blow dry my hair upside down afterward...if I let air dry, it is still pretty flat, even with this product. But the volume seems to last longer and require less maintenance with this product than with others (including salon brands). It looks like some of the other complaints are about the product's ability to condition, which may be why it works so well for me. I usually use very little conditioner, and only put it on the ends of my hair - 2 in 1's are usually awful for me because they overly condition my hair and make it too greasy. The small amount of conditioning this product offers is perfect for my hair.

I have 69 yr old hair that has started thinning bigtime and none of the old products I use to use work anymore. All of these Pantene for fine hair products seem to be the solution to this problem. I have also bleached my hair for 50 plus yrs.

I was shocked by how bad this shampoo is. I could see blobs of oil in it when I poured it out of the bottle. It barely lathered and left my hair flat and greasy (but not conditioned).

I've used Pantene Shampoo+Conditioner for many years, but this version is AWFUL! It has so little conditioning, I can barely finger comb my hair in the shower. It's like my hands stick to my head (& pull out strands). At first it seems ok (lathers well), but just try to rinse it out. This stuff makes my hair feel very greasy & dirty, almost like I've used hand lotion on my hair instead of conditioner. Awful, awful, awful.

I guess if you're hair's REALLY thin, this hair glue (which coats your hair & doesn't even wash out even after a few washes), might give you more volume, but otherwise, trust me, SKIP IT!

The green bottle is no better (I used to alternate purple & green). My first try of the blue was better, but that seems to have the same problem too. WHY of why do companies constantly mess up a good product? I think it's not to make it better, but to make it cheaper (more profits for them). Buh-bye Pantene, it's been nice knowing you.

I have very thin hair and this shampoo seems to be very good at adding some volumn. It also is smooth and shines well.
