I have been wearing Paris since the 70s/80s and constantly get compliments about it. The negative reviewer here below may be referring to the perfume, instead of the Paris eau de toilette. I find the perfume to be too strong, but the toilet water is fabulous!

I usually love the fragrances of Yves Saint Laurent, (Opium is a gorgeous classic oriental), but he missed the mark with Paris. If you have ever been in the NYC Subway which many a homeless person has used as a latrine, (I am a born and bred New Yorker), then you will instantly recognize the smell of stale urine in this perfume. It is overwhelming and unpleasant. It gives me a headache.

One of my favortie scents. Timeless! Feels like I'm in a French painting when I wear this.
