I have never tried waxing at all! I always shave but a friend recommended this product and I had to try it. I have a low tolerance for pain but this was quick and easy.

Only problem was that it didn't get some of the finer hairs,but I will definitely be using again.

Used this for hair removal below the belt. Followed the directions inside the box. First time I had ever used a 'wax' product. Yes there was some pain, it only lasted a few seconds,but totally tolerable. Easy clean up.

I bought this because it specifically said it was easy to wash off, and it really was. It heated quickly and was a lot less messy than wax (because the sugar wax wipes off with a wet cloth), but it hardly removed any hair. I only wax my arms and it would only pick up the fine hairs on my upper arms. It didn't grab any below the elbow.
If you've got fine, thin hair, this would probably fit your needs . Clean up was a breeze unlike real wax, but it terms of coarse hair removal it didn't compare.

I was a first timer on using a wax product. Found it easy to use. Slight pain only lasted a short time, but not enough to make me want to stop using it. When I have used all of my first jar, I will get more.

i don't know why anyone would use wax instead of sugar. it works just as well, it hurts much much less, skin recovery time (for me) is cut down from 2 days to 2 hours, the azulene oil is great. the more i use it the better i get at it in terms of less mess and less time-consuming. the strips can easily be washed, dried and reused.

I had been using the boxed prewaxed strips, but tried this product based on the great reviews. When I first opened the box I though it was going to be a messy, time consuming task. Groan! This was incredibly easy to use and did an excellent job. I think I had to tweeze 2 hairs when I finished waxing and that was it. This product was not as irritating to my skin as the prewaxed strips were.
I did find that I had to microwave the jar for about 20 seconds more than stated in the directions. The VERY BEST feature of this product is that is washes off with warm water! Amazing!

This is the best sugar hair-removal product out there right now. [...] I use the Parissa body sugar. It heats in the microwave pretty fast and then I put the container in a small bowl full of hot water in order to keep the temp even as I use it. My piece of advice is to apply just a very thin layer of the sugar on skin - that's how it gets all the hair. If you use too much, it won't work as good. Yes it takes some practice and patience cause I have been waxing/sugaring since I was 12 (I'm now 25) and I just started getting good at it a couple of years ago. I use it every 5-6 weeks and the hair is becoming finer and less coarse after every use. I never shave.It washes off pretty easily and the smell is quite pleasant compared to other products.I wish it came with a roll-on applicator [...]

As far as at home hair removal products go, this one is the absolute best. Waxing is never an easy or painless process, lets be honest. But if you prefer the results of waxing, as I do, and are comfortable with doing it yourself, this is the ONLY product to use in my opinion. It's basically like any other product out there, BUT, the sugar formula is all natural, and water soluable. Because of this, you can wash the cloth strips provided and reuse them. This means you won't run out of cloth strips before you run out of the hair removal product. I use this for my bikini area and underarms, and it works well. Not 100% of the hair is removed 100% of the time, but it's pretty effective for both fine and coarse hair. Coarse hair probably comes out more easily. Baby powder is helpful to eliminate moisture and allow better adhesion.
