Unfortunately the Sally Hansen Wax has been discontinued, so I use this. The second time I used it, I figured out to only warm this on low heat for a minute (at most) so that the base would melt; after stirring (or just seeing which parts of the wax cake were melted to honey consistency), I could use this without burning myself.

This is a lot better than other stripless alternatives, but as noted, it heats VERY quickly, and you shouldn't need to melt all the wax to use this. (Do not walk away from this pot--I usually set it on medium-high flame and it takes no more than 2 minutes.)

This did a decent-enough job getting the tougher hairs on upper lip, cheeks, etc, but it takes going over the same spot more than once occasionally, or drawing the skin taut when applying/pulling off the wax.

The azulene oil (or anything to dissolve the wax off of skin) is smelly and greasy, but it helps get off all the wax residue. (There might be less acne-inducing alternatives, though. I wash off the azulene oil after usage and I'm still struggling with breakouts, but I have very acne-prone skin).

This wax is the BEST for my husbands brows! We have tried all kinds of brands at the store, they all have about one decent usage where they take forever to heat up and then dont get much hair then the wax gets hard and cracks. This Parissa wax is awesome! it comes in a metel little pan which is cute and super easy to heat on the stove, it heats well and evenly. Best of all it works great, only one application and it comes off soooo easy! LOVE this stuff!

I hope this product doesn't disappear. I have finally found a hot wax product again! Wax container is like a little saucepan. I heat it on the stove with the burner set on low heat. The wax is a wonderful consistancy and is easy to remove. Perfect.

I was very pleased at how good this product works. I didn't want to mess with strips and honestly thought it probably won't work. I had to be patient for it to warm up...maybe 20-30 minutes...but just put it on the mug warmer and do something else for a while. It's amazing that all you need to do is apply it to the area with the little wooden paddle, lightly tap the wax down with your finger, make sure your skin is tight and pull it off! I've suggested it to others and will buy in the future...but it will probably last a while since it's been over 3 weeks since my first use. I have had to tweeze a few stray hairs, but that's to be expected :)

I bought this based on recommendations from others. Wanted to start using it for eyebrows and bikini area. Found it too difficult to heat up (can't be microwaved in metal container they sent it in), a wooden tongue depressor is too wide to use for eyebrow application; so I tried my bikini area as a trial -- OMG, burnt my skin applying it, ripped my skin off removing it...I was in tears. Maybe I'm too inexperienced, didn't want to try it again. I'm pretty frugal and rarely throw anything away without doing the try, try again routine. This product found its way to the trash immediately.

I bought the product because of all the great reviews. I even purchased the product again after it not working the first time around, thinking that it was just the way I was using it. In the end, I came to the conclusion that this product just did not work for me. I like the idea of not having to use wax strips, until I tried it. The wax is extremely sticky and has a horrible odor. Not only that, it is beyond difficult to come off and is messy to put the wax on. After following the directions and applying the wax on, I tried to remove it, but I could not. It took me nearly 40 minutes to get the wax off, and when I finally got the wax off I noticed some of my skin was not there. The next day I had a huge scab on the right side of my chin as well as little bumps from where the wax irritated my skin.

This product appeared at first to simple to use but very quickly became a problem. It is very difficult to peel off and breaks easily. It stuck to my fingernails and fingertips which made it even more difficult. I couldn't get the product off until I used the oil provided in the box even then it was difficult. I am going to back to the sugar wax/strips I used to use.
