I tried it, and my Lord, it is the best thing I have ever tried, and I am in the beauty industry, I have tried everything! It took about 10 minutes to heat up on my stove, it is not messy at all, because you want it a little thick when you apply it, so its not runny. It is very easy, and VERY fast, not as painful, and doesn't make me break out in red bumps,and you don't have to re wax the area, it takes out even the most stubborn of hairs. And I noticed that the general redness you get after waxing went away within about 5 minutes! So it's easier to keep it secret ;). EVERY wax makes me break out, very bad. But not this one!! It comes in a metal measuring cup and obviously cant be put in a microwave. Doesnt come with a holder so a flame can be placed underneath, so I had to hold it above a candle. Too much work. Once applied, which was easy, it hardend, then broke as i was trying to pull it off. Missed too many hairs. I am an experienced Esthetician and I have worked with top of the line wax, as well as the cheaper brands. This is not something I would ever buy again. Comments about Parissa Strip Free Hot Wax, Short Coarse Hair, 4 oz: I was very pleased at how good this product works. I didn't want to mess with strips and honestly thought it probably won't work. I had to be patient for it to warm up...maybe 20-30 minutes...but just put it on the mug warmer and do something else for a while. It's amazing that all you need to do is apply it to the area with the little wooden paddle, lightly tap the wax down with your finger, make sure your skin is tight and pull it off! I've suggested it to others and will buy in the future...but it will probably last a while since it's been over 3 weeks since my first use. I have had to tweeze a few stray hairs, but that's to be expected :)

Found it too difficult to heat up (can't be microwaved in metal container they sent it in), a wooden tongue depressor is too wide to use for eyebrow application; so I tried my bikini area as a trial -- OMG, burnt my skin applying it, ripped my skin off removing it...I was in tears. Maybe I'm too inexperienced, didn't want to try it again. I'm pretty frugal and rarely throw anything away without doing the try, try again routine. I even purchased the product again after it not working the first time around, thinking that it was just the way I was using it. In the end, I came to the conclusion that this product just did not work for me. I like the idea of not having to use wax strips, until I tried it. The wax is extremely sticky and has a horrible odor. Not only that, it is beyond difficult to come off and is messy to put the wax on. After following the directions and applying the wax on, I tried to remove it, but I could not. It took me nearly 40 minutes to get the wax off, and when I finally got the wax off I noticed some of my skin was not there. The next day I had a huge scab on the right side of my chin as well as little bumps from where the wax irritated my skin. Pros

It is very difficult to peel off and breaks easily. It stuck to my fingernails and fingertips which made it even more difficult. I couldn't get the product off until I used the oil provided in the box even then it was difficult. I am going to back to the sugar wax/strips I used to use.

I'm amazed at the results so far. Sure, the removal caused some redness, but it's been a year or so since I've had the upper lip waxed at a salon, and it's the first time I've ever tried it myself--figured at-home would be more sanitary. (I once tried a cream hair remover, which burned my sensitive face instantaneously--and left a slight scar--a darker patch of skin--for some time.) I don't care about the pain; c'est la vie if you want hair removal, and perhaps the pain and redness will lessen as my technique improves. :) Yippee, I'm hair-free! I have VERY sensitive skin and I'm pretty sure by morning the redness will be gone--would recommend doing this in the evening before bed.

The quantity is amazing and should last for many months. There is pain associated with the removal of the wax but it depends on the users tolerance for pain. It is very affective at removing the hairs from the root. And you should remain clean shaven for several weeks I have noticed that the hairs are becoming thinner. Like many aging women I have a few chin and moutashce hairs that are darker and thicker than the normal facial hair. Which is the reason I mainly use this product. It removes from the roots which makes the hair folical smaller and less resistant to growth. There is no discoloration nor broken hairs as with using creams or a razor.

Gets all hair.Only thing I didn't like was it has to be heated on stove because of metal container.Not a big deal though.Great product! |
