The rave reviews made me think this is going to be awesome for my 7 year old daughter. Well, the shampoo is gentle and good for sensitive skin, but it does not lather well, it makes my daughter's hair feel stripped...almost squeaky clean with no moisture or detangling. This product would be great for babies that have thin and little hair. I have to slather on tons of conditioner to get her hair to detangle and feel soft. Plus, I just noticed the warning on the bottle that states "We cannot guarantee the authenticity of this product is sold by any supermarket, drugstore or other unauthorized retailers. Guaranteed only when sold by a professional hairstylist." and Drugstore.com is not a professional hairstylist! So you go figure if this is authentic :/ REVIEWS Reviewed by 21 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros

Comments about Paul Mitchell Baby Don't Cry Shampoo, 16.9 fl oz: I bought this because our pediatrician recommended it and it got good reviews. It works well for our newborn - gets his hair and scalp clean, does not dry out his scalp, smells nice, and leaves his hair soft. What more can you really want from a cleaning product for a kid's head? The scent is not overpowering, and I have a sensitive nose. In regards to other posts, perhaps the scent used to be stronger. Comments about Paul Mitchell Baby Don't Cry Shampoo, 16.9 fl oz: My 4 year old has thick, wavy hair and other baby, tear-free shampoos have left it limp and dirty looking. This shampoo leaves it bouncy and shiny. It rinses clean and smells great, too. If your child has graduated from baby shampoos but you still need something tear-free, this is for you. Pros

Cons Best Uses Comments about Paul Mitchell Baby Don't Cry Shampoo, 16.9 fl oz: I use this on both my daughters (ages 4 and 2) and it's great. Both girls have long hair and I never have to use conditioner. No problem brushing their hair (wet or dry) - always soft. Tried it because it was one of the only mainstream companies I could find that didn't test on animals. No tear formula works - they don't cry when I get it in their eyes.

Best Uses Comments about Paul Mitchell Baby Don't Cry Shampoo, 16.9 fl oz: I was so excited to try this product on my curly top 2 year old but I was so dissappointed at the very strong scent. It smells very similar to johnson's baby products -- the classic "baby powder scent--and I hate it. It smells like a rubbed a luvs diaper on her head. It does seem to do a good job, but I wish they made unscented or lightly scented. This is too overpowering and the detangler is the same. My search for the perfect baby shampoo will continue.

Comments about Paul Mitchell Baby Don't Cry Shampoo, 16.9 fl oz: I use this shampoo on my 2 year old and 5 year old. Both have completely different hair types. I am a hair stylist, so I know that many of the so called "children shampoos" are harsh and strip the hair and scalp. I have also used shampoos that are too gentle to thoroughly clean the hair. This one is the perfect balance. No tears, smells great, and not tested on animals! ![]() |
