I'm a model/actress and I was going to a hair show casting so I got this product to make my hair really healthy and shine. Awapuhi is suppose to be the best thing you can do for your hair I hear. I did a fashion show in Austin Tx. for Paul Mitchell and they used the whole like of there products on me from Awapuhi. I was amazed @ how my hair was so strong, healthy, even felt thicker, shiny and smooth as silk. I got Awapuhi shampoo Paul Mitchell and the shiny product and this conditioner (not Paul Mitchell) since I didn't see Paul Mitchell conditioner Awapui on this site. This was a good product, but my hair didn't feel like it did after the fashion show. Maybe I should get the whole Paul Mitchell Awapuhi line next time and use that on my hair, if I ever really want it to be amazing for something. b.c. I know that works from experience. It was decently healthy from the products I used on my hair Awapuhi, not as high quality as I was hoping for, but I didn't expect to get it like it was after the fashion show, since I only used 3 products. After the fashion show my hair was great for a week or more, this was good for 3-4 days. after 1st use. I trust Paul Mitchell more though I think if I would have only used Paul Mitchell I might have been more satisfied with the results. I think Paul Mitchell is about 120 ish if you buy the whole line from a special salon, you can only get them @ salons I think I looked them up online. My rating for Paul Mitchell is always going to be 5 stars b.c. the way my hair felt after that fashion show. I'm not use to being happy with someone elses job. Like when I go to salons, I don't usually like the hair cut I get or they give me, but I am blown away by Paul Mitchell products. They went above my expectations. I would only recommend using the whole line once a week, thats what the professionals told me when I was a model for them promoting there awapuhi line.

i dont' understand why almost all paul mitchell's hair products have dimethicone which i detest.

(i don't believe it damages hair like no-poo community but it seems weigh my hair down & makes it stiff & hard to dry.) since i started to avoid *-cone (silicone), my hair has become softer & easier to manage.

also it's a bit pricey & does not lather well.

but i still get it because he loves it.
it's the only shampoo he'd use. he'd give it 5 stars.
(i use cheaper brands which work just fine.)

We swim 5 days a week and product wonderful for removing chlorine from our hair. We have tried lots of products and this works the best.

This is my holy grail shampoo. It's really a great all-around basic. It smells great, but not strongly. It cleanses thoroughly and does not leave buildup, but is not drying on my hair. My hair can be prone to frizzyness, dryness, or towards the other extreme, flatness. This shampoo provides a perfect balance between the two. I used to have different shampoos for daily use and clarifying, but now this is the only shampoo I need. I have used it for years now.

I breed Maltese Show dogs and found this shampoo exceptional for their fine white coats and it leaves them with a soft manageable coat and amazing shine. Don't forget Maltese do not have fur, they have hair. Only one coat as opposed to be a double coated dog

We use it for ourselves as well but its much harder finding an exceptional shampoo for the dogs. I have fine curly hair and my partner has SUPEr THICK coarse hair and lots of it.
