I hadn't intended to buy the leave-in conditioner but read the product description too quickly. I've used it before though, and it's a good product. On my hair, which is fine and straight, it's a wee bit heavy, so I use it very sparingly.

It's not heavily scented and it's very gentle on the skin.

Just like all of the other Paul Mitchell conditioners, it makes a great shave cream, especially if you're like me and all other shaving creams (even ones purported to be for "sensitive skin") make your skin itchy and dry. This size bottle will probably last a good 9-12 months, so it's a great buy.

"The Conditioner" has recently been re-formulated, and it's an improvement in terms of the performance and effectiveness.... however, Paul Mitchell is STILL putting blue colored dye, which is completely unnecessary, and continues to put the same horrid perfume smell in it. Even at a low dose, many consumers find this a horribly offensive smell. It is not family friendly because boys and men do not want to smell like they are wearing an old lady's perfume, and mother's don't want to put unnecessary synthetic blue coloring junk on their children. They should have used a family-friendly, light and simple, pleasant and natural smelling fragrance.... like lemon/lime or a fresh fruity smell.... and just take the fake blue coloring out.

Comments about Paul Mitchell Original The Conditioner, 16.9 fl oz:

I towel dry my hair and then squeeze about 2-3 teaspoons of The Conditioner in my hands. I then distribute it evenly throughout my hair. I use a wide-tooth comb and The Conditioner makes my fine, tangled hair much easier to comb. My fine hair has a tendency to get very greasy with most leave-in products, but this conditioner is light and doesn't cause build-up like most leave in products do. I actually love the smell of this! Guess it reminds me of using in back in HS. To add, I will also use this on my face if I don't have my normal moisturizer nearby. Never had any break-outs from it because it's not a heavy and oily product. Con? The cap/dispenser has a tendency to clog.

I use this all the time for shaving. It conditions the hair and skin on my face, and I can see what I'm doing, because it's not a cream. It provides better lubrication than shaving cream, and a little goes a long way.

I typically use a dime-sized drop in my hand, and it's enough to shave, and to condition my hair... which it's also great for.

Comments about Paul Mitchell Original The Conditioner, 16.9 fl oz:

I ordered this for my kids, and usually have success. However, this bottle was dented, dusty and possibly way past it's shelf life. Usually the smell is wonderful however the kids cringe when I use this and tell me it smells like wood. Yes I still use it and it works fine but I won't buy it again from here!

Comments about Paul Mitchell Original The Conditioner, 16.9 fl oz:

I use this every day without fail, and my hair would probably turn into a rat's nest without it. I have thick, curly, yet very fine hair that breaks and tears easily if I'm not careful. The greatest advantage of using the Mitchell conditioner is that I don't need anything else. It works alone to smooth my hair so I can comb through and finger style it. Could not live without it.

Comments about Paul Mitchell Original The Conditioner, 16.9 fl oz:

I use this on damp curly hair and let air-dry; it de-frizzes, and leaves my curls soft and touchable, not crisp and stiff, with a nice shine. One product does it all! I carry a travel-bottle in my purse to freshen up on dry hair (e.g., after showering at the gym, or if rainy-day humidity is starting to frizz). You don't want to wash curly hair daily; now I just rinse out the conditioner every morning, and add more fresh. I've thrown away the shelves of other products, and replaced it with only this one.
