Introducing drugstore.com for PayFlex participants!
We are excited to offer PayFlex participants the opportunity to purchase eligible over-the-counter items online at drugstore.com. PayFlex has partnered with drugstore.com to make it easy for you to make qualified medical purchases online. drugstore.com even takes the guess work out of determining if an over-the-counter purchase is a qualified expense.

Important FSA changes: On January 1, 2011 Health Reform legislation changed which products are FSA eligible and can be purchased with an FSA debit card. We will continue to be a valuable resource for FSA participants with the largest online selection of FSA eligible products.

I can buy THAT with my FSA funds?
In addition to standard healthcare expenses, you can buy prescription medicines, first aid kits, blood pressure monitors, contact lens solutions and supplies, home medical aids, and many other things that you typically keep on hand for treating what ails you! When you shop at drugstore.com it's easy to determine which products are FSA qualified products, because we mark them all on our site with our FSA icon.

While drugstore.com has identified these items as FSA-eligible, it is the participant's responsibility to verify with FlexAmerica if there is any doubt that the items you are purchasing are IRS-approved.

Can I buy prescriptions online using my PayFlex debit card?
Yes, prescription expenses (including co-pays) are FSA eligible and can be purchased online using your PayFlex debit card or another credit card. However, if you have a prescription benefit, you may want to check with your insurance plan to determine your best option for getting your medication. Some prescription plans only apply when you fill your prescription at specific pharmacies.

Will drugstore.com accept my prescription plan co-pay or coinsurance?
Yes, drugstore.com accepts most insurance plans and will charge you just your prescription plan’s co-pay amount for a 30-day supply of medication. The check out process will provide information about submitting your prescription. It will also prompt you for your insurance card information and will automatically determine your co-pay amount for that prescription.

Can I get a 90-day supply online?
While drugstore.com can fill a 90-day supply, some insurance plans have preferred mail order pharmacies for a 90-day supply so you will want to check with your insurance carrier before ordering online with drugstore.com.

Can I pay for drugstore.com purchases with my PayFlex debit card?
Yes. The quickest and easiest way to access your account funds is to use your PayFlex debit card. At drugstore.com you can use your card online at the time of checkout and you won’t have to file a claim. The money will automatically be deducted from your account and reflected in your online account balance.

What if my plan does not include a PayFlex debit card?
If your healthcare spending plan does not include a PayFlex debit card, or if you prefer to pay using another form of payment, you can still purchase items online using another credit card. You will just need to submit a claim form to request reimbursement from your FSA account.

Follow these easy steps to submit a claim:
1. After your purchase is complete at drugstore.com, go to the FSA Manager under "your account" and print a receipt of eligible expenses.
2. File your claim online using PayFlex's Express Claims service available at www.mypayflex.com or mail/fax in a claim form along with your receipt to PayFlex. If mailing/faxing in your claim, download a PayFlex claim form here and fax or mail per the instructions along with your drugstore.com FSA receipt.
3. For additional information regarding eligible expenses and claim filing, please visit your participant website at www.mypayflex.com or call Customer Service at 800.284.4885.
