Comments about Pedi Paws Pet Nail Trimmer, 1 ea: This file just takes so long to do almost nothing that the dog loses patience, but that is if you can get them to sit through the noisy filing that sounds like the nail is being ripped off. It does not seem to hurt the dog. It is just very unpleasantly noisy and such a long process. Comments about Pedi Paws Pet Nail Trimmer, 1 ea: If you have a dog that is nervous about other things it will probably not work. I have a lab who lays there from the first time i used it and a Brussels Griffon that runs for the hills if i turn it on. But my lab is an easy going animal and my brussels is wired and energetic. As far a the performance. It is made well, very sturdy, works a filing the nails down quickly and easy to use. Comments about Pedi Paws Pet Nail Trimmer, 1 ea: I take off the guard and use it without. My Keeshound isn't scaried of it at all. He lays still while I use it. He loves it, he likes to smell it after. And it is faster too... Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Best Uses Comments about Pedi Paws Pet Nail Trimmer, 1 ea: I bought this for my dog (a Jack Russell Terrier) who keeps his nails short in the Summer by digging in the yard but come Winter, they grow to horrible lengths. I thought this would be easy to use and it made sense to me. I turned it on and my dog ran away. I hunted him down and held him in my lap and brought the electronic file to his nail, as soon as it touched the nail, he jerked his paw back and jumped off my lap and ran away again. I tried this on my Dad's dog (a Cairn Terrier) and she did the same thing. I tried it on my sister's dog (a Chihuahua) and the same thing happened. I gave it to my other sister who has three dogs (a Border Collie, a Beagle and a Dachshund) and she said the same thing happened with her and them. I don't recommend this to anyone. Maybe if you got it for free to try, it wouldn't be so bad but I wouldn't waste my money. We ended up just throwing it away which seemed like a huge waste. Comments about Pedi Paws Pet Nail Trimmer, 1 ea: I don't quite understand the negative reviews. I found this incredibly easy to use and very effective with moth my 9 month Aussie and my 7 year cat. Neither of them like it, but it's perfectly doable with the help of my husband to hold them and far easier then using clippers. For the cat, my husband holds his scruff so he relaxes while I trim the nails (which grow very long, very quickly). My puppy has a long quick making it particularly difficult to use clippers so this is perfect for rounding out her sharp nails. I HIGHLY recommend this if, like me, you are nervous about cutting into your pet's quick with clippers. Comments about Pedi Paws Pet Nail Trimmer, 1 ea: Packaging shows golden retriever. I have a small lab and after almost 40 minutes it didn't make a dent in even one nail. There is no way this product will work on anything other than maybe a cat or tiny dog and even that's questionable. Comments about Pedi Paws Pet Nail Trimmer, 1 ea: My service dog is a cocker spaniel that I keep in coat year round. He has black nails so cutting them often results in injury.
