The benefits of a chewable antacid + Acid Control of Pepcid AC = A single tablet that both reduces and neutralizes acid.
A Non-Prescription Stomach Medicine - Pepcid Complete combines an acid reducer (famotidine) with antacids (calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide) to relieve heartburn in two different ways:
Acid reducers decrease the production of new stomach acid.
Antacids neutralize acid that is already in the stomach.
The active ingredients in Pepcid Complete have been used for years to treat acid-related problems in millions of people safely and effectively.
Just 1 tablet relieves heartburn due to acid indigestion.
Excess Acid: A Burning Problem - It is normal for the stomach to produce acid, especially after consuming food and beverages. However, acid in the stomach may move up into the wrong place (the esophagus), causing burning pain and discomfort that interfere with everyday activities.
Heartburn - Caused by acid in the esophagus.
Burning pain/discomfort in esophagus.
A valve-like muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) is relaxed in an open position.
Acid moves up from stomach.

Mint is a carminative as the old pharmacy professor used to say - it relieves gas all by itself, so it's a good flavor for an antacid/acid controller. Berry, on the other hand, is nauseating, just the thing you DON'T want when you're already feeling like you're gonna puke.
WHen you have acid indigestion, this promptly relieves it and prevents further pain for hours. If you take it before meals, it will prevent heartburn. I found the mint flavor to be more effective but for some reason, they no longer make it in that flavor. Please bring the mint flavor back.
This is the very best OTC acid reducer I have ever used. My family prefers the berry and tropical friut but we would use the mint if we had to. It works quickly, tastes good and doesn't have the chalkiness like others I have used. I was very disappointed when the stores in San Antonio stopped having this product.

This acid reducer really works and works quickly. I was so upset to find that it had not been sold for a while. While the berry flavor works well, the mint flavor worked even better. Please bring it back!!!!!!!
I use this product for heartburn and upset stomach. It works well for both. The things that are great about it are it's taste and it's effectiveness. The one thing I don't like about it, is the price. Why does it cost almost $4.00 more than it does at a store?
