Drug Interaction Precautions
If you are taking medicines for anticoagulation (thinning the blood), diabetes, or gout, ask a doctor before taking this product.
Warnings
Children and teenagers who have or are recovering from chicken pox or flu should no use this medicine to treat nausea or vomiting. If nausea or vomiting is present, consult a doctor because this could be an early sign of Reye Syndrome, a rare but serious illness. This product contains salicylates. If taken with aspirin and ringing in the ears occurs, stop using. This product does not contain aspirin, but if you are allergic to aspirin do not use as an adverse reaction may occur. If symptoms persist, or if diarrhea is accompanied by a high fever or continues more than 2 days, ask a doctor. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this products.

I find these pills to be very soothing to my stomach and intestines. I take them whenever I get diarrhea or stomach cramps. Helpful for nausea, too, although I find ginger capsules to be the best thing for nausea. I cannot tolerate the liquid. The taste and smell of the thick liquid repulses me and makes me nauseous.

Well, for most people this product works just as well as the liquid kind. For me, it doesn't. I have a suppppper sensitive stomach and I use the liquid kind almost everyday. The pills sounded great for while I'm out, but it doesn't seem to work nearly as well as the liquid. I don't feel this stuff even start to work until about an hour later. The liquid kicks in almost right away.

This is the perfect product to have for stomach upset. It works fast and I like that fact that it is taken with water rather than chewing a not so pleasant tasting tablet when I'm already feeling bad.

I don't know what I would do without pepto. My GI system is sensitive to many foods...sugars, wheat, lactose, certain oils, garlic, etc. etc. If I take 2 pepto capsules before I eat a meal with any of those foods, I rarely get symptoms (gas, cramping, etc.) I've found it works better like this--as a preventative. It is still effective tho once you start feeling sick. Sometimes I need 3 or 4 to get relief. My only complaint is that these are NOT easy to swallow. They get stuck on the back of my tongue or in my throat nearly everytime. Stil...better than chewing those nasty tasting tablets or drinking the dreaded pink liquid.

I suffer from severe indigestion in addition to chronic constipation (lucky me). Essentially, my digestive system betrays me on a daily basis. So, I take 2 pills daily every evening before bed and it really minimizes my symptoms. It really helps reduce the acid build up (in addition to zantac), daily nausea and regulates my GI tract.
I will note, however, that if you plan on using this on a daily basis you won't notice a big difference in becoming any more regular for about 2 weeks. But, it's worth the wait.
Make sure to take them with lots of water because they do get stuck!

My husband and I were on vacation and at an amusement park. We ate some food and a few hours later felt pretty sick. We couldn't leave due to other people we were with, and went to the First Aid station. That's the first time we had the pepto pills and they worked great. Now we use them any time we have an upset stomach!

Adults: 2 tablet. Children: 9 to 12 yrs. 1 tablets. 6 to 9 yrs. 2/3 tablet. 3 to 6 years. 1/3 tablet. Under 3 yrs. ask a doctor. Swallow caplet(s) with water, do not chew. Repeat every 1/2 to 1 hour as needed, to maximum of 8 doses in a 24-hour period. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Drink plenty of clear fluids to help prevent dehydration which may accompany diarrhea.
