It does stimulates the scalp with the ingredients in it. When you wash your hair rub it into areas where the scalp needs growth or to reduce hair loss. I'm seeing results, as in new hair growth and less shedding. Leave the matching conditioner on your scalp for a few minutes before rinsing. If you want more volume or your hair is dry or colored, add a diff suitable conditioner while using this shampoo and conditioner. As with everything, healthy diet comes first.

I have dry scalp issues and thought which I thought this product was designed to help with. I found no improvements to my dry scalp from using this shampoo and conditioner regularly. Otherwise the product is fine.

I have thin hair and this shampoo seems to thinkin it up. Its not too fragrent just a peppermint smell. Also I have noticed build up on my scalp, maybe im not scrubbing good enough

I've been using this shampoo for over a year now. I can't say whether it helped my thinning hair. My husband and friends think so, but I'm also taking Biotin vitamin so, which is working, I don't know. If I found it out it doesn't work, I still like it, so would continue using it.
The smell is great. Some might think it's strong, I like it. It's like a peppermint/spearmint/tea tree smell. I believe it really does make your hair shinny. I have henna on it, so that might be it too.
Compared to other shampoos I think this one makes my hair "feel" thicker, and look smoother. I wash my hair about 4 times a week and only twice I use conditioner (Lamas too). I sometimes leave the shampoo on my head for a couple minutes in the shower. I'm able to comb through my hair without much terrible. This shampoo definitely doesn't strip, or dry out your hair.
Drugstore had the best deal.
Plenty of suds too.

Being allergic to sulfates which dry my skin to the point of cracking and were causing my hair to break, I have tried ALL kinds of sulfate-free shampoos. This is ONE of ONLY TWO I would recommend. Others either don't clean well or are too harsh. DON'T WORRY if your hair feels dry in the beginning -- it's because of your OLD sulfate riddled shampoo (a cheap foaming agent) which has ruined your hair. Within two to four weeks your hair will begin to recover. In the meantime, use a good smoothing conditioner to detangle the locks. Soon your hair will be thick and strong. Due to the different cleansing agents, your hair will NEVER feel the same after shampooing like it did with sulfate shampoos. But, it will be healthier.

This shampoo might not smell the best but it works great. I am buying the conditioner next. What a pair that will make. This is a keeper.
