 | Are there any interactions between Metabolife and other therapies?
|
| Metabolife is an herbal dietary supplement that is promoted by the manufacturer as an aid for weight loss. One of the ingredients in Metabolife, guarana, has been reported to interact with certain drugs. Guarana may lower the effectiveness of diazepam (Valium), clonazapam (Klonopin), and triazolam (Halcion). Drug interactions with Guarana have not been well-studied. There may be many more drug interactions with this herbal product. Check with your physician regarding the safety of taking guarana with the other prescription and non-prescription drugs that you are already taking. There is very little reliable information available about drug interactions with Metabolife. If you are taking any prescription or nonprescription drugs, be sure to check with your physician and pharmacist before using Metabolife.
