 | After taking Viagra, how soon will it work? How long will it last?
|
| Viagra (generic name sildenafil) is a medication used to treat men who have trouble getting an erection, a condition called erectile dysfunction or impotence. For best results, take Viagra about one hour before having sex. It starts working 10 to 40 minutes after taking a 25 to 100 mg dose, and can work for up to four hours after you take it. Don't take more than one dose per day, as this greatly increases the risk of severely low blood pressure. Viagra works faster when you take it on an empty stomach. It may take longer to work if you take it after eating a high-fat meal. Simply taking a Viagra pill won't cause an erection: You must also have sexual stimulation. When the sexual experience is over, the erection goes away. Viagra won't help you delay ejaculation. References:Micromedex Healthcare Series.
