 | I'm on birth control pills and didn't have my period this month. Is this normal?

| It's not uncommon for women taking birth control pills to miss a period every once in a while. If you've been taking your birth control pills as directed, haven't missed taking any pills, and don't have any other signs of pregnancy, it's very unlikely that you're pregnant. To be sure you aren't pregnant, you could use a home pregnancy test or talk to your doctor. If you failed to take two or more pills and have missed your period, you should contact your health care provider. Missing two or more pills can increase the risk of pregnancy. Depending on where in your cycle you missed taking the pills, you may need to stop taking your current pack of birth control pills and start a new pack. You should also use a second form of contraception. If you miss two periods in a row, you should contact your health care provider for a pregnancy test. Sources:
