Are there any vitamins that can help to prevent night blindness?

Are there any vitamins that can help to prevent night blindness?

answer for 'Are there any vitamins that can help to prevent night blindness?'Vitamin A is important for normal night vision. Lack of vitamin A may lead to night blindness, the inability to see in dim light. The recommended daily allowance (RDA) of vitamin A is 5,000 IU. This is enough to prevent night blindness.

Vitamin A occurs naturally in many foods, including carrots, apricots, lettuce, and broccoli. If you don't get enough vitamin A from your diet, consider taking a multivitamin or >vitamin A supplement. Most multivitamins contain at least 5,000 IU of vitamin A. Because of side effects, avoid doses of vitamin A larger than 25,000 IU daily unless directed by your doctor.
