answer for 'What are the side effects of Penlac?'Penlac (generic name ciclopirox) is a new medication that's prescribed to treat fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails by killing the fungus responsible for these infections. It's a lacquer that you apply directly to the nails.

The most common side effects of Penlac are redness of the skin surrounding the nail, rash, and nail disorders. Studies show that about 9 percent of people who use Penlac experience side effects. If you experience any side effects while using Penlac, notify your doctor.
