What are the side effects of Mobic?

What are the side effects of Mobic?

answer for 'What are the side effects of Mobic?'Mobic (generic name meloxicam) is a new nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) available by prescription. It is used to treat the pain of osteoarthritis. Mobic was designed to cause less heartburn, nausea, and stomach ulcers than other NSAIDs, such as Voltaren (generic name diclofenac) or Naprosyn (naproxen). But its most common side effects still include upset stomach, diarrhea, gas, heartburn and stomach pain. Infrequently, some people experience stomach ulcers and stomach bleeding with Mobic. To minimize your risk of side effects, use the lowest effective dose for only as long as you have pain. Patients with cardiovascular (heart) disease should discuss the risks of taking any NSAIDs on a long-term basis.

You should not take Mobic if you have an allergy to aspirin or other NSAIDs.
