 | Does AndroGel interact with any other drugs?
|
| AndroGel (generic name testosterone) is a drug used to treat low testosterone levels in men. If you are using insulin, check your blood sugar closely after starting AndroGel, since it may change the amount of insulin needed to control your blood sugar. AndroGel may reduce the effectiveness of propranolol (brand name Inderal), a drug used to treat high blood pressure. If you take propranolol, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage after you start taking AndroGel.
You may get increased edema (excess fluid in the body) if you use corticosteroids and AndroGel together. Taking AndroGel with oxyphenbutazone may increase the levels of oxyphenbutazone in the body.
