What is clomiphene (Clomid, Serophene, Milophene)?

What is clomiphene (Clomid, Serophene, Milophene)?

answer for 'What is clomiphene (Clomid, Serophene, Milophene)?'Clomiphene (brand names Clomid, Serophene, Milophene) is a drug used to treat infertility. Infertility is described as the inability to conceive a baby within one year of trying. For females whose cause of infertility is due to problems with ovulation, prescription fertility drugs are the first treatment of choice. Clomiphene works by helping to stimulate ovulation or egg production.

Clomiphene is an oral tablet that is taken based on a woman's particular menstrual cycle. It is used by women who aren't ovulating regularly or are ovulating very early or late in their menstrual cycle. Your doctor will decide the best dose for you. Try to take this medication at the same time everyday. Do not take this medication once you become pregnant.

Side effects of clomiphene include multiple fetuses, dizziness, flushing, headache, upset stomach, abnormal vaginal bleeding, breast tenderness, and blurred vision.

If you are having difficulty becoming pregnant, be sure to talk to your doctor about what the best treatment is for you.
