Are there any drug interactions with bromocriptine (Parlodel)?

Are there any drug interactions with bromocriptine (Parlodel)?

answer for 'Are there any drug interactions with bromocriptine (Parlodel)?'Bromocriptine (brand name Parlodel) is a drug that can be used to treat infertility. Infertility is described as the inability to conceive a baby within one year of trying.

Bromocriptine can help women who are unable to menstruate (have a period) or ovulate. It helps to correct abnormal levels of prolactin in our bodies. Other uses of bromocriptine include hypogonadism, acromegaly, and Parkinson's disease.

Be sure to tell your doctor or pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially isometheptene, haloperidol (Haldol), cyclosporine (Sandimmune), thioridazine, erythromycin (E-Mycin), and levodopa (Sinemet, Larodopa) in order to avoid or lessen potential drug interactions. Let your doctor know if you are taking medications for high blood pressure, migraine headaches, or depression; oral contraceptives, tranquilizers, alcohol, vitamins, and alternative medicines such as Kava.

If you are having difficulty becoming pregnant, be sure to talk to your doctor about what the best treatment is for you.
