 | What are the side effects of cabergoline (Dostinex)?
|
| Cabergoline (brand name Dostinex) is a drug that can be used to treat infertility. Infertility is described as the inability to conceive a baby within one year of trying. Cabergoline can help women who are unable to menstruate (have a period) or ovulate. It helps to correct abnormal levels of prolactin in our bodies. Other uses of cabergoline include treatment for tumors of the pituitary gland and Parkinson's disease. Side effects of cabergoline can include dizziness, nausea, upset stomach, headache, weakness, vertigo, depression, and constipation. Talk to your doctor if your side effects worsen or become severe. Be sure to notify your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following serious side effects: fainting, swelling, abdominal pain, increased heartbeat, nasal discharge, changes in vision, weight changes, or difficulty breathing. If you are having difficulty becoming pregnant, be sure to talk to your doctor about what the best treatment is for you. Sources: Drug Facts and Comparisons.
