Chemical Name: VITAMINS (VYE-ta-mins)
This medicine is a vitamin combination used to supplement the diet. This medicine may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicines that you are taking. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you are also taking levodopa without taking carbidopa. If you are currently taking levodopa, contact your doctor for instructions. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking chloramphenicols, phenytoin, or fluorouracil. DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of all medical conditions including arginase deficiency or argininemia, pernicious anemia, kidney problems, liver problems, herpes simplex virus, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.
Follow the directions for taking this medicine provided by your doctor. STORE THIS MEDICINE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS TAKING A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE for 1 or more days, there is no cause for concern. If your doctor recommended that you take it, try to remember your dose every day.
DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. DO NOT TAKE large doses of vitamins (megadoses or megavitamin therapy) while taking this medicine unless directed to by your doctor. FOR WOMEN: USE OF THIS MEDICINE during pregnancy is not recommended. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medicine include drowsiness, diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, itching, or swelling. If they continue or are bothersome check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience numbness. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other symptoms not listed above contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
