Chemical Name: GLUCOSAMINE and CHONDROITIN
This product is promoted to decrease pain and improve movement in patients suffering from osteoarthritis, to promote healthy joint and connective tissue, and to help in wound healing. It may also have other uses.
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription, over-the-counter medicine, and herbal products that you are taking. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking anticoagulants (such as warfarin), medicines for diabetes, or other medicines for arthritis. DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, including diabetes, high blood sugar, low-sodium diet, bleeding problems (such as hemophilia), obesity, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Use of this medicine in children is not recommended. Discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of giving this medicine to your child. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.
Dosing for this product depends on the use and the source of the product. Use as directed on the package, unless instructed differently by your doctor. STORE THIS PRODUCT at room temperature away from heat, moisture, and light, unless otherwise directed on the package. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take 2 doses at once.
DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. Patients who are allergic to shellfish may not be able to take certain brands of this medicine. If you are allergic to shellfish, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before you use this medicine. IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS TO MONTHS for this product to work. Continue to use this medicine to receive the full benefit. DO NOT DRIVE, OPERATE MACHINERY, OR DO ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS until you know how you react to this product. Using this product alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. FOR WOMEN: DO NOT USE this product if you are pregnant. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this product. IF YOU HAVE DIABETES, this product may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely and ask your doctor before adjusting the dose of your diabetes medicine.
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this product include nausea, heartburn, upset stomach, or diarrhea. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
